  • Supports and positions the locker/latch mechanism
  • Maintains alignment for consistent latching and closing
  • Common symptoms of a failed holder: loose latch feel, misalignment, door/panel not staying closed, or visible cracks/broken mounts
  • Direct-fit replacement to restore proper support
What's included:
  • 1 holder assembly
Install notes:
  • Disconnect power to the appliance before servicing.
  • Access the locker area and retain any screws/clips; transfer any reusable hardware from the original holder as needed.
  • Align the new holder with existing mounting points and tighten screws evenly—do not overtighten.
  • Test latch engagement and door/panel operation before final reassembly.

You recently had this exchange on a question: "Microwave was not heating, everything else works fine. Narrowed it down to a problem with the door. When I inspected the switches, they all seemed to click ok but the wire, or insulator that plugs into the top switch appears to be fried. Blackish spots are visible on the outside of the plastic casing that slides onto the switch and its as if the plug in component is fused to the switch, unable to separate. Frank for Model Number GoldStar microwave model no:MV1608WW Answer Hello Frank, You will need to replace the door switches, 6600W1K001R and 3B73362F, and if the connector is fried, it will also require replacement. The H.V. Diode and the H.V. Capacitor need to be tested also." I have the same issue with a fried top connector (why?). I have looked everywhere and cannot find this kind of specialized dual connector. Do you have it, or do I just have to improvise with single connectors?

Hello FB, the signs of overheating on the door switch terminal to the wire harness terminal is a sign of a poor/loose terminal to terminal connection allowing increased resistance which caused the overheat condition. When this occurs the repair involves replacing the switch and the wire harness, however, the manufacturer no longer supplies the harness. We do not have a schematic for this model showing the wiring to the switches, as such you would need to replace the wire harness terminal going to the switch, there is more than one way to do this, dual wire terminal, single wire terminals, piggyback terminals, etc, however, we do not carry these terminals, but they are available online from different sources.

Ray for Model Number Goldstar microwave MV1555ST

It appears that the switch that turns off the light and allows you to start the microwave isn't working. It appears that a switch is engaged by the lower prong in the door when the door is closed. Is this correct? When you depress the switch manually by pushing a pen or screwdriver into the hole where the latch goes into you can hear the click of the switch but the light stays on and the start button doesn't work. When you look into the hole where the latch goes into when the door is closed you see a plastic piece that moves in and out when you push it with the screwdriver. This piece appears to engage a switch. Am I diagnosing this correctly? Are the parts available to fix this problem? (the plastic piece or the switch or whatever)? Thanks, Ray
