The Pulsator Assembly is an OEM replacement part for LG washing machines. It generates the agitation and pulsating motion that effectively cleans clothes during the wash cycle. This pulsator measures approximately 18 x 18 x 2.5 inches.

Mike, You could try to gently sand down the burrs on the pulsator and if this does not correct the issue then replace the pulsator.

Jeff, If the threading of the shaft is gone then the clutch assembly would need to be replaced. If the screw is just not staying and keeps backing out then just add some blue Loctite to the threads to get it to stay.

Kevin, unfortunately, the pulsator is not designed to be disassembled. As this is the case, running the washer through a cleaning cycle with Affresh W10549845 can help to break down and clean the build-up.

Rob, Thanks for the question!!! If replacing the bolt does not solve the issue, you would need the part it mounts to, the clutch housing AEN73131406. The housing could be stripped out.

Ernie, the drive shaft should be able to turn by hand, and the bolt securing the pulsator to the drive shaft would be tightened fully.

Ed, Thanks for the question!!! If the plate stripped in any way it could bond to the shaft. I would try slipping a belt underneath the plate and give a good pull. If that does not work you may need to use the chisel method shown in the video.
