Brian February 20, 2012 for Model Number LG LSC27950ST Two problems. Ice maker has stopped making ice. The feeler arm seems to freeze up and, before it permanently stopped making ice, we continally had to give it a little help to go down. It would just get stuck at one position and as soon as it was touched lightly, it would flip down and continue cycling for the ejection of the ice. Second, the flapper doesn't function to let ice out of the bin and through the chute. What parts or suggestions do you have to fix these problems? Thanks!

Do I need to purchase the entire Ice Bucket unit, Diagram No. 131D AP5108675 to obtain the part that operates the ice hopper or might I be able to purchase just the Ice bucket, part Diagram No. 131C AP4670742 does that part come with the nylon or steel gear to operate the Ice hopper. Just trying to save a few bucks.

Arnold January 12, 2012 for Model Number LSC27931ST I need a part for this refrigerator Ice Try. The button that is in the door when pushed operates a toothed gear that in turn rotates another gear, nylon or steel, that rotates the hopper that allows the ice to drop through the ice slot. Is it possible to order just this part or does one need to order the ice try? It does not look like it is the Solenoid that I see that keeps being referenced too. Thanks.

Rob S. August 13, 2011 for Model Number LSC26905TT My refrigerator stopped dispensing water and ice as well. I pulled out the "Solenoid Assy,main" (#AP4457576 )... and it doesn't have the metal piece attached. It appears to be broken. Would this piece being broken affect everything?

1 Answer Hello John. If the unit is not making ice and not dispensing water, you may have a bad water valve 5221JA2006D. Check and make sure the filter 5231JA2006F is good.
