Brandan July 23, 2019 for Model Number LSC27925ST I replaced my water filter the other day and prior everything was working fine. I put the new filter in and the water was intermittent and then the water and ice maker have stopped working. There is still a humming sound when the button is pressed. The lines are not frozen. I put the old filter back in and it still doesn't work. Seems a little weird that the inlet valve would go out immediately after the filter is changed.
1 Answer Brandan, based on the information provided it would be more than likely that the filter head assembly ADQ72911006 is not engaging properly when the filter is installed. The water valve can be tested by removing the tubing from the single solenoid where the water from the house is installed, aim it into a cup, and use the water dispenser. If water comes through, this solenoid is good and it is unlikely that the two other solenoids would have failed at the same time. Jonathan May 19, 2019 for Model Number LSC27921ST I purchased a used LG and after plugging it in everything seemed fine except i got no water dispensing and no ice from the ice maker (it was turned on). I replaced the water supply solenoid but still no water or ice. the ice dispenser will work if ice is added to the bin. after checking the voltage at the first solenoid, I get almost no voltage. The solenoid with the red clip will get normal line voltage when the dispenser is triggered. The other solenoid only gets about 5 VAC. Is this a control board issue? Any additional tests I can do to narrow down the issue?

Cheryl January 04, 2018 I just purchased this part: LG Electronics 5221JA2006D Refrigerator Water Inlet Valve for my refrigerator and replaced it and replaced the water filter at the same time. The fridge make one batch of ice and then the same problem started happening: water is spraying/dripping out of the front of the ice maker and dripping into the ice tray resulting in a frozen mess. The water also sprays/drips down through the shelving in the freezer resulting in a frozen layer of ice on my food. What could be the problem at this point?

John D June 27, 2017 for Model Number LRSC26912SW Ice maker not working - I do have water pressure. In testing the water inlet valve assy - I find there's no continuity on any of the three coils. Is this a common thing to have all 3 show no continuity? How do I check that the assy is getting electricity ? I see a red wire on the assy wire plug. Can I check with assy plug plugged back in ?
1 Answer John, You would want to do a resistance check on the valve. The best thing to do though would be test power and to do so you would cycle the icemaker and then go to the back and put your leads on the solenoid that has the smallest tube which is for the icemaker. Mike December 19, 2016 for Model Number 795.51079.011 My original water supply valve was leaking and I contacted the maker of the fridge for a new one due to the part number must have changed. They sent me one and it would work fine but every time the water for the ice maker would go on it would come out of the front instead of the ice maker. They sent me another one and it does the same. Then I switched the 2 water lines that are the same size now it sends no water anywhere. Which bigger line goes into the main water supply? The one that goes into the water tank or the one that goes up the back of the fridge to the water filter. How can I cycle the ice maker to re prime the line??
