Joe October 24, 2016 for Model Number LSC27950SB Hi There, I get water dripping from behind the water dispenser intermittently. I turned off the ice maker and plugged the ice dispenser hole, but the dripping continued. Do I need to replace the inlet water valve? Thank you.
1 Answer Joe, Have you noticed if the ice cubes are over sized, or any problems dispensing the cubed ice ? The water valve could be and probably is the issue, you may want to replace it anyway. But there is a possibility there could be a loose or cracked water tube in the dispenser assembly or the ice maker fill tube. Try the fill valve first. Read More...
Phil October 11, 2016 for Model Number LG LRSPC2031T I have low water flow and it takes a long time to make any ice, I just put a new filter in, same problem slow water and slow ice making. I pulled the water line from the water inlet valve has plenty of pressure , any suggestions? Could it be a bad inlet valve? Thanks Phil

Robert October 03, 2016 for Model Number RSS277ACPN I have recently replaced the ice maker (aprox 2 months) in my frig, works great until yesterday. I still have water at the door but the ice maker is not getting water. Any guess as to what is wrong?
1 Answer Hello Robert. You will need to cycle the icemaker and see if any water comes out of the water valve. If not, and there is power to the water valve, replace the water valve. If you get water out of the valve, then check and see if the fill tube is frozen on the unit. Read More...
John May 30, 2016 for Model Number LG LSC27950ST My water dispenser stopped working. When I push the button, i hear a click and humm like it is trying to work. I checked water pressure and it is good, and replaced the water inlet valve with part 5221JA2006D but mine is slightly different. My valve has 3 sets of connectors (one dual and two single) on the first valve (the one that connects to the water supply line.) All photos show just one dual connector I tried hooking it up with just the dual connector but it still doesnt work. I still hear a hum like its trying to send a signal but no water comes out of the valve even with no outlet hose hooked up. Thoughts?
1 Answer Hello John. You need to test for power to the valve. If it is there and no water comes out, you will need to replace the water valve on the unit. Read More...
Bill February 23, 2016 for Model Number LSC27910TT My ice maker stopped making ice. Water comes out of the water dispenser and if I put ice from a bag of ice in the ice tray, I can have ice from the dispenser either cube or crushed. So I don't know what to check and discard next? If it can be the water valve solenoid that provides the ice tray maker or the ice maker itself.
1 Answer Hello Bill. Make sure the freezer is between 0° and 5°. You need to check and see if there is power going to the water valve when the icemaker cycles. If so, replace the water valve on the unit. If not, or the icemaker does not cycle, you will need to replace the icemaker on the unit. Also, check and make sure the fill tube on the unit is not frozen and clogged. If so, replace the water valve and thaw out the fill tube. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Frank Russo December 22, 2015 for Model Number LRSC26925TT Hello again inlet valve assembly color code for water line ..Inlet valve white Solenoid center black Left sinlet white right inlet orange... Would the wrong line setup cause a burning smell?? this is what I have...
1 Answer Frank, It sounds like you have the water lines connected properly but it would not cause burning smell. if there is no water passing through the valve then this could cause the valve to overheat so make sure that the water is turned back on and make sure that the line did not get kinked. Jon K November 16, 2015 I have noticed tiny black particles in the water that is dispensed from the refrigerator. I have replaced the filter twice and am still getting the very tiny black particles in the water. What could be causing this?
1 Answer Jon, Based on the information it sounds like something may have come through your water supply and is showing up in the water. You may need to replace the water reservoir to correct this issue. Read More...
George October 07, 2015 for Model Number LSC27921ST How does the drawing assembly LG6877JB3019F wiring connect to the Inlet water valve 5221JA2006D. Do you have a picture showing this.
1 Answer George, We do not have a wiring diagram for this unit to be able to assist properly but on your wiring you have one that has 2 wires in each connector which will go to the single water valve. The others one has purple and black and would go to the solenoid that has the white ring at the bottom of the dual valve. The other wire set will go to the other connections. Read More...
