Dana October 31, 2011 for Model Number lrsc29623tt My in-door fresh water quite working this weekend. I have checked the water supply and all is well. Does this sound like a problem caused by a faulty water inlet valve assembly. The ice maker also is not getting water.

Bill June 26, 2011 for Model Number L-G LSC26945TT After inserting the water tubes into the new valve, as firmly as I can, they are leaking. Is there some trick to inserting the tubes? I noticed that the tubes are "scared" from the star washers off the origional valve, do the tubes need to be clipped prior to inserting into the new valve?
1 Answer Bill, Yes, the water tubes need to be trimmed behind the original compression fitting. They also have to have a straight cut, and be free of any burrs on the inside and outside of the insertion end of the tube. Something else that seems to work well, press down on the compression ring in the center of the new connector, insert and press in on the tube as far as possible, release the ring, and tug lightly out on the tube. That seems to be pretty efficient as far as loose leaking connections on "John Guess" fittings. Good Luck. Read More...
