Derrack March 20, 2017 for Model Number RB215LASH I recently ordered a new Ice maker assembly and when I replaced it and hit the reset button located on the front of the unit, nothing happened. My old unit will beep and cycle through and refill but it doesn't eject the ice properly. Did I get a defective (new) unit or is there another reset procedure that I am missing?
1 Answer Derrack, It sounds like the icemaker may be defective but double check that the wiring is pushed in all the way. This issue could also be caused by a faulty main control board. Read More...
Shaun February 07, 2017 for Model Number RFG297aars and DA97-07365G Samsung fridge RFG297AARS Ice Maker DA97-07365G Unit stopped making ice. Thus far, I have: * Replaced the water valves * Checked pressure (it's good) * Checked temperature (3 degrees Centigrade) * Replaced the ice maker assy Still not making ice. It did make one tray's worth; maybe two, tops. In the interim, it's making a wheezing sound like it's straining to spin a motor or something. What can I test/replace next??
1 Answer Shaun, Based on the information this sounds like it would be caused by a faulty icemaker or the heat circuit for the icemaker in the main board is bad and would require a new main control board. Read More...
James November 22, 2016 for Model Number RF 4287 HARS Ice maker will not dump. Took ice maker out / cleaned - cleared tested. Motor works and will make full rotation. So I thought the ice tray was being overfilled so I replaced water inlet valve. Same problem, will not dump and when checking ice tray motor it will make full rotation. The motor gear Seems to have plenty of power while turning. But just will not push he ice out.
1 Answer James, This issue would most likely be a faulty thermostat on the icemaker in which the icemaker would need to be replaced on your unit. Read More...

Regina September 29, 2016 for Model Number DA97-02203G I don't use a lot of ice and when ice bucket fills up in the chute. My question is how do you turn off ice maker when the bucket is full? Thank you
1 Answer Hello Regina, The icemaker should shut off when the ice level is high enough. The arm at the bottom of the icemaker is a "feeler arm" that acts as an off switch when the ice level is high enough that it cannot drop following a cycle. If the icemaker is not performing in this fashion, the icemaker will require replacement to correct the issue. We can check for the proper icemaker part number if you can please supply the refrigerators' model number from the I.D. tag on the unit. Read More...
Robert August 11, 2016 My ice maker quit making ice. So I got a replacement icemaker DA97-07365G and installed it and pressed the reset button. It makes ice, refill and dumps. After 24 hours the bin was full. Used some ice and now it won't refill unless I press the test button again. It stuck in line test mode. What could be the issue? After pressing the test button it works for 24 hours.
1 Answer Hello Robert, If you could please post a new question and include the model number from the units' I.D. tag, we can look up the wiring and specific information on your unit to make a more accurate diagnosis. As a general diagnosis you can try the Self Diagnosis by Pressing both the Energy Saver and Alarm buttons simultaneously (No sound when both buttons are pressed at the same time) until the display quits blinking and beeps, 8-12 seconds, then release and read Fault Codes. This will also cancel the Fault Mode created by self-diagnosis at power up. Read More...
