Jim P September 30, 2017 for Model Number JVM1870SF001 I have removed the Magnetron and it is a Samsung OM75P (10) My appliance parts store has a Samsung OM75S and says I can use it. Can I or should I get the magnetron that ends in P?
1 Answer Jim, It would be recommended to use the magnetron that is called for on your unit because the wattage may be different between the 2 magnetrons. The part number for the magnetron on your unit would be WB27X10735. Read More...
David June 04, 2017 for Model Number JEB1095SB002 My GE Profile microwave model JEB1095SB002 is not heating up again and the magnetron was replaced over 5 years ago with the same issue. The current magnetron in the microwave is model Samsung OM75S(10) with part number WB27X10089. Will the Samsung OM75P(10) with part number WB27X10017 work with my microwave? Are they the same?

Milano May 22, 2015 for Model Number GE Profile Spacemaker Model # JVM3670WF001 MW usually works fine. However, sometimes when popping corn or baking a potato, it will start out okay, but then make a loud ratcheting or buzzing noise. When this noise occurs, the popcorn will come out burned. Am I looking at a magnetron or the fan that distributes the microwaves? Something else?
1 Answer Milano, With the issue that you are having, this would most likely be caused by a faulty capacitor or a bad magnetron. You will want to test both of these to make sure that they are good. Read More...
Harvey November 18, 2014 for Model Number Ge je1660gb Microwave hums loudly when started. Coming from the magnetron or the transformer. Om75p 31 You have om75p 10. Are these interchangeable? Is it more complicated to change this and the transformer than unplugging and screwing it in? Any stored capacitors? Do you have transformer objy2? Thanks for the help.
1 Answer Hello Harvey, If the hum is a low frequency growl, the transformer WB27X10281 is in question. Keep in mind the high voltage capacitor WB27X10280 and/or the high voltage diode WB27X1160 can also cause this condition. Read More...
Paul July 25, 2014 for Model Number MO1650BA I bought a magnatron, but the old one has 2 extra wires going to it. The new one doesn't. It will it work and I don't have to plug in the wires?
1 Answer Hello Paul, if you look closely, the old magnetron has a thermal fuse mounted to it with two tiny screws. This has to be removed and installed on the new magnetron. All wires have to be connected in a microwave to prevent a fire/electrical shock hazard. Read More...
Tarina Vink June 29, 2014 for Model Number CE2944N-5 Our Microwave ran dry and would not heat. We replaced the magnetron and was working again. But as soon as we replace the cover, the microwave cuts out after 3 seconds. Even if you just bring the cover close, without touching anything on the microwave. The appliance parts store gave as a 2M226 LG magnetron to replace the OM75P magnetron. Is this a direct replacement part, or should we return it for a Samsung part and will this help?
1 Answer Tarina, You will want to make sure that you have the correct part in the unit. The correct magnetron is part number WPW10126794. Read More...
Jonathan March 10, 2014 for Model Number Kenmore 401.80083700 Why does this magnetron OM75P(10)ESHL (AP4245180) say it is not compatible with my microwave, when the searspartsdirect site says that this is the manufacturer substitution for the original OM75P(10)ESGN in my microwave?
