For Samsung Washer Control Board (Part Number: OEM17847744)

Darin for Model Number WF331AWXAA 04 (Canadian}

I've had an OE error, which was corrected after running a few wash cycles after replacing the over flow switch. Getting the same error again after only a year with the replacement part, but usually only when running the washer in Normal setting. When this occurs, we usually run the washer in the quick wash setting where it rarely generates the error. The other issue, has been the cold water runs continuously when running a normal wash cycle, despite setting the washer temp. to Hot/Cold. This also occurred recently when trying to run the pure cycle setting. The cold water ran for about 2 hours before I realized this, even though the timer indicated the cycle only ran down to 182 minutes from a start of 201 minutes. This problem hasn't occurred during the Quick Wash setting. Is the control board the problem or a stuck cold water valve?

1 Answer

Hello Darin, we do not have any part information on this model as it is a Canadian version, however, the cold water valve should not be running that long, the washer's control board powers the water valve at the start for fill up and then cuts power to the valve. If the valve is still open then you will get an overflow code. In that case, replace the water valve, also check the drain hose is not down too far down which can cause a siphon of the tub water.

Rebecca, the wiring would need to be inspected for any loose connections and the inverter would need to be inspected for any faulty soldering. If these things check good, the likely failure would be in the main control. When identifying the part number, there will be a REV number on the model tag that would be necessary as parts can change between revisions.

John, This issue sounds like it would be caused by a control board that is bad and would need to be replaced.

Hello Dan, According to the parts list, the part needed is DC92-01621A. It is strongly advised to check for the manufacturers' part number DC92-01621A on the part in your machine to make sure it is the correct one since Samsung has had issues with multiple mistakes on their parts lists. Thank you for your patience and understanding in this matter.

Don for Model Number WA45M7050AW/A4-01

I have a Samsung washer model WA45M7050AW/A4-01. When I put a load in and press start, the lid locks, and then in the back the clutch engages and pulls the metal drain motor string and then it retracts. This happens over and over but the machine never turns on. I have checked the ohms on the stator and they read at 8.8-8.9 between any 3 of them and the hall sensor reads at 4.69. When I go in to the diagnostic mode, I get error cods DC, UB, 3C-2, and 4C.

Hello Don, the control board is trying to change the shifter to the agitation position, it is not recognizing that's has done so and continues powering the clutch motor. If you check the wiring from the clutch motor to the control board and there are no loose connections and the wiring is undamaged replace the clutch motor DC31-20014C.

Don

I have a Samsung wf45h6300aw/a2 front load washer that is not draining. I have replaced the drain pump and it still does the same thing. I have not found any type of restriction in the discharge hose and the drum will empty when removing the intake hose to the pump assy. This indicates to me that there is no obstruction between the drum and the pump. I hear a hum when the pump is supposed to be draining which indicates that the pump is getting power. Any ideas? this washer is less than 5 years old. I believe that the warranty on the pump and controls is 5 years. What dows the warranty cover? Just parts? Just labor? or both? Thanks

1 Answer

Don, I understand you put a new drain pump in but did you remove the filter assembly from the drain pump housing and check for a clog or debris in the trap. Also, you can test for voltage at the pump. You should get 120 vac, if not the main control would need to be replaced. DC92-01621A

Harold, You will want to test the water valve for a resistance of 900 to 1100 ohms of resistance and if this checks ok then this will be an issue of a faulty main control board.

Felipe, First check the wiring between the door lock assembly and the control board. If all's OK, and you don't have any error codes, replace the control board.
