Questions & Answers

For Samsung Washing Machine Control Board Assembly (Part Number: OEM17430048)

Stephan, You will want to test the hall sensor for resistance between pin 1 and 4 and 1and 3 and it should be 2 to 4 Mohms. Then you will want to check to see if the motor has resistance between any 2 of the 3 pins on the motor winding for 6 ohms of resistance. If both check ok then this will be a faulty main control board.

Hello Timothy, that code is not listed for your model, however, based on the symptom, the washer thinks there is still water left in the tub that it cannot drain out completely and is going into a SUDS DETECT mode, trying to knock down the suds. Suggest you access the airline hose that goes down from the water level switch to the tub and check for any debris/sediment/deposits clogging the tube.

Dave, it would be recommended that the pressure hose is inspected for any clogs that may be preventing the pressure sensor from reading the fill level properly. If there is not a clog or kink in the hose, the failure would likely be in the main control DC92-01621D.

James for Model Number WF42H5200AP/A2-0000

Front Load Samsung washer - Won't move past the load sense, no error codes come up but it won't compete a cycle. Samsung tech came out to look but washer was out of warranty. The tech said I needed the main PCB and the Inverter board? Asking to see if this is common to need to replace both parts? I feel like Samsung was just trying to get more money from me, based on threads and comments online. Can you recommend which part is the main PCB for this model number as well?

Hello James, the main control board is part DC92-01621D and the motor inverter board is part DC92-01531B. Since you had a Samsung tech to diagnose the problem we would rely on his opinion for the repair. Both boards do work together, the problem is there no fault codes showing that would point to where the problem would be.

Cheree, the main control board that will be needed will depend on the REV number on the model tag. If the REV number is 0 or there is not a REV number, then the main control will be part number DC92-01621D. If the REV number is 1 then the part number needed is DC92-01803C.

Brent, You sent me a model number for a washing machine but mention the dishwasher won't start. I just want to make sure we are on the same page as far as troubleshooting. If it is the washer and you have just been thru a lightning storm I would check my outlet for proper voltage or plug in a lamp to see if the breaker has tripped. You have a noise filter where the power cord comes into the unit. Make sure that is not damaged with a continuity test thru that filter board. After the power goes thru the filter board it enters the main power control board where you probably have an internal switch that has failed if all else checks good. DC92-01621E

Hello Odalis, You should pull the tech sheet and run the diagnostics to see if there is a fault code. This will point you in the direction of the issue whether it is a door lock assembly or a motor causing the code.
