Questions & Answers

For Samsung Dryer Main Control Board Assembly (Part Number: OEM17750448)

1 Answer

Ralf, You will want to check the wiring between the main control board and the dispenser control board to make sure that the wiring is good. If this is good then check to make sure that the main control board is getting power to it. If there is power getting to it then this would likely be a faulty display board.

Kenny, try removing the vent and running a load of clothes. If it dries ok without any error codes, you have some kind of restriction in the house venting. The HE error code will pop up if there is a restriction in the venting.

Hello Jane, You should locate the terminal block in the rear of the unit and check for proper voltage, (power supply), to the unit. This or the wall outlet is the most common cause of this complaint if the thermal fuse is not open.

I had 3 problems with our dryer recently. A rumbling noise every time dryer runs. This was resolved by replacing the idler pulley. Dryer turning off after a few minutes. This was resolved by replacing the high-temperature thermostat. Dryer sometimes doesn't turn on. If I unplug and plug it back in, it works and runs a full cycle. Is the control board the problem with issue 3, or could it be something else? I've checked the cord and it is providing power to the dryer.

Jeff, You will want to check the venting of the dryer from the blower to the outside of the home to ensure that it is clear. Check the thermal fuse to make sure that it is good. Also check to make sure that there is no issue with the rollers causing the motor to overheat other wise this will most likely be a main control board issue.

Michael, You will want to check the venting of the unit from the blower wheel to the outside of your home as this will be the most likely cause for the thermal fuse to blow.

Shawn A for Model Number DV45H7000EW/A2-0000

The dryer runs but will not heat. I have replaced every sensor and the heating duct assy. As well as both control board looking for why this thing quits heating. It worked for a week and now back to runs w/no heat. Took it apart again looking for a bad connection or short. The high power switch in the control board melted including the Blue wire connected to it. I don't want to replace the board again until I know what fried it. any suggestions as to a direction to go in?

1 Answer

Shawn, The most likely cause for the relay to melt would be a loose connection that overheated. Would recommend replacing the wire and make sure that all connections are tight.
