Katie December 05, 2019 for Model Number WA45H7000AP/A2 My washer started leaking from underneath and flooded my house. We took the washer apart and found a quarter in the drain pump. We put the washer back together and made sure all hoses were on good and started it up again. It filled up with water and started agitating and it started to pour water out of the bottom. The only thing I can think is it is the drain pump because of the quarter that was found in it. Please let me know before I order the part of what it could be. Thanks in advance Stressed OUT
1 Answer Katie, it would not be the first time an article "stuck" in the pump or impeller has "cut" through a plastic pump housing. Based on your information and description the DC97-19289F / DC97-19289F Drain pump assembly would be the place to start. Thanks, Read More...
Sanjay October 11, 2019 for Model Number WA456DRHDWR/AA How do you change the replacement DC98-01877B drain pump for WA456DRHDWR/AA?
1 Answer Sanjay, with the water drained completely, the unit will need to be unplugged and then can be leaned backwards to gain access to the drain pump. The hose clamps will need to be moved away from the pump housing and the three screws at the base will need to be removed to allow for the drain pump assembly to be changed out. Read More...
Joe May 20, 2019 for Model Number WA456DRHDSU/AA My drain pump bracket on model WA456DRHDSU/AA completely broke apart and I'm thinking the pump is burned out as well. I know the original part is discontinued and that I'll need the DC97-17366A to fix it. Does this order come with the pump motor and the full assembly? Also just curious to how it will all work out. Does it come with every last thing I'll need to get it done or do I need to order nuts, bolts, hoses etc?
1 Answer Joe, You may want to double check the model and serial number. " FOR REPAIRS: Find the serial number and production dates for the version number. The improved models are version 01 If the production date is on or before Dec. 09 2012 (version 00), order ASSY- Packing - Pump SVC Kit DC98-01877A If the production date is after December 09,2012 or the washer label displays the 01 version number, change the drain pump located on the base DC97-17366A. " Either way, both repair parts will have all the parts needed for the repair. Thanks, Read More...
Kyle D May 05, 2018 for Model Number WA400PJHDWR/AA-0003 Washer broke last week with a "nd" error code. Broke it apart and figured most likely cause was the drain pump. Ordered a replacement for the original, which was a DC97-17366A and was mailed a DC97-17349B. Is this an upgraded part? Will it work in my machine? Or do I need to raise hell to get the original pump?
1 Answer Kyle, The replacement pump that you would need is DC98-01877B which is a service kit to change the location of the pump assembly. Read More...
