Betty, The icemaker in the freezer will come out by removing the 2 screws at the front of the icemaker. Then to get the motor assembly out of the support, there will be a tab on the support that holds the icemaker in place, Push on the tab and slide the icemaker motor from the support.

Yes, You can disconnect the ice maker from the refrigerator. You'll need to remove the ice maker to disconnect the wire harness from the assembly. You may also want to cover the wire harness end with electrical tape to keep moisture and condensation out of the connector. Good Luck and Thanks,

Chuck, The manufacturer does not list the arm for the icemaker on your model as a separate part. This would require the icemaker to be replaced in order to replace the arm.

Robert it sounds like you would be referring to one of the water tubes that is leaking and would need to determine which line it is. This will be especially if the leaking is on the back of the unit on the outside wall in the middle.

Randy, Unfortunately we do not have information on the difference of these 2 icemakers. There may be a wiring difference but you should always use the one your unit calls for unless it is substituting to another part then use the substitute part.

Hello Bert, The part in the icemaker that cycles it is the icemaker cycling thermostat. It should close and initiate a cycle at about 20°F. If not, you will have to replace the icemaker assembly DA97-07603B.

Tiff for Model Number RF266ABPN/XAA

My ice maker overflows and the ice bin freezes in one solid chunk. When I looked at the ice cube tray, it was overfilled and frozen solid, with frozen drips hanging down from it. I used a blow dryer to melt the ice, and then reset the ice maker. It dumped the ice, but when I turned the ice maker back on, the ice bin still filled up with water and started to freeze. I'm not sure if maybe it's dumping the ice too soon, so the unfrozen water is filling the bin, and the rest of the ice left in the tray makes the tray overflow when being refilled? and it just keeps repeating until the whole tray is frozen over? any help? or should i just replace the whole ice maker? thank you!

Hello Tiff. If the icemaker is overfilling, replace the water valve. However, if the icemaker is leaking, just replace the icemaker.
