Lou V for Model Number RF263AERS/XAA-0000

Samsung ice maker fills with water, freezes in the tray, but will not dispense automatically. I must activate tray dump by pressing the test button. Removed complete ice maker to be sure I could make an exchange if I bought a new one. However, refrigerator display now shows blinking 88's for fridge and freezer temps, even after "rebooting" display per owners' manual, error message still shows 88's. What is your price for a completely new ice maker? Will this fix my problem?

Lou V, The part number for the icemaker on your unit will be DA97-07603B. The reason for the 88 88 on the display is because the icemaker is not in place.

Hello Gary. It is not hard to replace. Just 2 screws and slide it back to remove it. You will need to remove the upper and lower freezer baskets from the unit and taking off the freezer door helps a lot also.

Marcus for Model Number RF260BEAESR/AA-0001

I have a RF260BEAESR/AA and the ice maker stopped production. Freezer temp set to -1deg F. There are no error codes on display and the fridge is NOT in ICE OFF mode. Resetting ice maker (hold TEST button 8+ sec) does not start a cycle. Pressing the test button momentarily does not start a ice dump cycle. Both functions worked previously. Previous ice production was functional, albeit very slow. There is no filter installed since water supply is from a RO system. Currently there are cubes in ice tray but maker will not dump. Activating the self diagnostic function (during normal operation) does not display any errors. Suspected ice maker unit failure so replaced unit but problem still persists. Since the original ice maker did operate and now does not and the new unit does not operate I suspect power supply problems on PBA. Do you have suggestions on troubleshooting the PBA: i.e. specific voltages on connector CN90?

Marcus, This issue would most likely be that the control board is not reading the sensor on the icemaker to allow it to cycle.

Hello Jimmy, This is normally an indication of either the unit operating at too low a temperature and/or a harvest issue with the icemaker. You should use the units' on-board diagnostics to determine the issue as per the service manual/tech sheet.
