Sunny, Unfortunately there is not a model icemaker that will work in place of this one that would have a metal arm for it.

Aaron, The internal components of the icemaker assembly is what controls the water fill time. The one thing that you will want to make sure of is that the water valve is not seeping and causing more water to trickle into the icemaker.

I just bought this ref/freezer and some small children put too much food in the freezer and slammed the drawer shut several times and severed the wires off even with the icemaker. I've replaced the icemaker assembly but now the molds fill with water, freeze but won't dump automatically, I have to push the reset and shut the freezer before it cycles to keep from breaking the dump arm. It dumps and fills back with water and freezes but still won't dump automatically. What is wrong? I'm not sure about the foam sensor location.

Terry, With the unit having a new icemaker, the most likely cause for the failure would be that the control board is not reading the thermistor and the control board is faulty.

I recently bought this French door fridge/freezer, used. The icemaker had never been hooked up, so I hooked it up and it started to make good ice. On the 3rd night, the ice maker filled the entire freezer up with water. Melted water was inside of the ice tray, and the freezer was at temperature. All of the mechanics of ice maker seem to be working properly, but something is obviously broken with the timer. Will replacing the support assembly correct the timing issue?

1 Answer

Graham, Based on the information a new icemaker support assembly would be the part that is necessary to replace to correct the issue that you are experiencing.

Hello Bharrell, DA97-07603B does include the motor. This is for the complete freezer icemaker. If your unit has the fresh food "ice room" icemaker, the complete icemaker part number for that is DA97-15217D.
