Dali R December 10, 2015 My ice maker of my samsung RF4287/hars doesn't dispense the ice. When I push the ice tab just dispense water the auger motor looks is working, I don't know if the ice maker is bad I don't know how to find out. Any advice will be realy appreciated. Thanks
1 Answer Dali, If the unit is dispensing water from the dispenser tube instead of dispensing ice and there is ice in the bin then the issue will most likely be caused by the dispenser control board. Read More...
Kirk K December 05, 2015 for Model Number RF268ABWP/XAA-0000? The lower ice maker broke and my child closed the drawer and broke the wires off the ice maker and now the fridge doesn't run. 2 lights are flashing in front. I have tried to reset but it doesn't work.
1 Answer Kirk, You will need to replace the icemaker due to the unit is detecting an error in the ice sensor. It may also be possible that the main control board has failed and would need to be replaced at the same time. Read More...
Dan December 01, 2015 for Model Number Model # RF260BEAEWW/AA-0001 SAMSUNG Bottom-Mount Refrigerator I am having problems with the ice cube size. Is there an Ice Cube Size adjustment on this ice maker. Thanks
Peter November 12, 2015 for Model Number RF263teaesr/aa The ice maker in the freezer quit working. I hit the reset button and it cycles, i.e. the tray empties. However, no water comes into the tray. Could the "water pipe" be frozen? Any other thoughts??
1 Answer Hello Peter. Check for a frozen fill tube and if it is good, replace the water valve. Read More...
Randy August 20, 2015 for Model Number RF323TEDBSR/AA-0001 The lower (freezer) ice maker on my refrigerator fell off when pushing the freezer drawer in. I reassembled, but a wire with a rectangular rubber/silicone end is still hanging. I assume that it is a temperature probe. Where does it need to go so it is not hanging down? Thanks.
1 Answer Hello Randy. The sensor goes on the bottom. Usually this happens because the icemaker is broke and will need to be replaced. Read More...
Jdm July 29, 2015 for Model Number RF260BEAEBC/AA-0001 The ice maker stopped working after replacing the filter. I got an error code 33-E, Ice pipe heater error. Should I just replace the entire ice maker assembly?
1 Answer Hello JDM. Check and see if the pipe heater is good on the unit and is plugged in good. The only reason to replace the icemaker is if it is bad in the unit. Read More...
Ron July 20, 2015 for Model Number RF197ACWP/XAA Our Samsung fridge is a year old and the icemaker has quit working. 2 months ago I installed a inline filter which worked great until we shut off the icemaker for 2 weeks and then turned it on with no ice. What do you think happened?
1 Answer Ron, There is a test button that is on the icemaker that you can push and see if the icemaker goes through a cycle. If the icemaker cycles then the issue will be caused by a faulty icemaker. It will most likely be in the temperature sensor of the icemaker where the issue would be. Read More...
Roger I June 28, 2015 for Model Number Samsung rs2577rs What is the part number for a replacement unit for the ice maker. A part of the support broke.
1 Answer Roger, If part of the support broke you can get just the support and would be part number DA61-02205A. There is not a complete icemaker assembly for your model that is showing. Read More...
Barry W June 28, 2015 for Model Number Samsung RB215ABBP I bought and installed this ice maker. I fills with water and makes Ice, but it does not dump the ice. If I press the "test" button on the bottom of the ice maker it will dump the ice. The arm that indicates that the ice container is filled moves, but appears to be in the incorrect position. The arm is always up near the ice maker, indicating that the ice container is filled. It moves about 1/2" when the ice tray dumps using the test button. Is there some way to move the arm to turn the ice maker on and off? Is there an on/off switch on the ice maker? thanks for you assistance.
1 Answer Barry, The arm on the icemaker is designed to be in the up position and when it cycles the arm comes down, if it meets resistance it will stop the icemaker from cycling. You will want to check the temperature of the freezer. If the freezer is not cold enough then it will cause the icemaker to not cycle. The only other thing would be a control board that is not reading the resistance of the thermistor on the unit properly. Read More...
