Mark October 07, 2019 for Model Number RF265BEAESR/AA Hi, The ice maker in this Samsung Frig will not make ice or if it decides to, it spits out a few cubes once a day maybe. It is two years old and I notice the ice bucket has a crack in it. Would that crack be affecting this ice maker from making ice? Also, there is significant ice build-up on the bar just below the ice cube making tray. Thanks for your help, Mark
1 Answer Mark, the crack can certainly cause problems if it allows warmer air into the ice bin section as it can cause the ice build-up. Another thing that could be causing the issue would be an air leak between the ice bin wall and the refrigerator wall. This can be inspected by removing the ice bin and using a flashlight to attempt to shine light into the ice bin section through the seams from the refrigerator section.
