Tkakt September 27, 2020 for Model Number RF28HMEDBSR/AA Our ice tray bucket is completely cracked. Bottom of bucket is stamped with "DA63-06925AX002". What replacement part can I order that will fit? Also, for recurring icing up, do you recommend replacing the entire ice maker in this fridge (if so, what should I order)? Thanks!
1 Answer Tkakt, the ice bucket DA82-01396A would be used with the model provided. In regards to the ice build up around the ice maker, this is caused by an air leak that commonly occurs where the ice container section meets up with the refrigerator wall. This can be corrected by removing the ice maker and auger assembly to clear the ice out completely (it is not recommended to use a hair dryer as it is easy to melt the plastic this way). The problem is the unit I received did not have the metal contact on the top, so ice maker didn't work. Is there an additional part I need to order?
