Al, Yes, this drain clip will work for your unit. Also, along with installing this clip. Pull the unit out and remove the drain, inside of it there will be what is know as a duckbill. Clip the duckbill end off so that there is an opening in the end of it. This should help keep the unit drain from getting clogged.

Matt, if the ice maker is having a lot of ice form around it, the refrigerator will need to be unplugged. From there, the ice will need to be removed using a small putty knife carefully. Once the ice is removed, the ice maker and auger assembly would need to be removed. This will allow for the air duct to be cleared, the sealant DA81-05595A to be applied to the seams of the bin section (inside and out, there will be some sealant that would need to be cleaned up during application), and the Y-clip assembly DA82-02367A to be installed. The ice forming is caused by an air leak between the ice bin section and the refrigerator wall.

John, the drain clip DA61-14306A is longer than the drain clip DA61-07451A used with your model. As it is longer, it would conduct heat further towards the drain opening. However, it is recommended that the defrost drain tubes (DA97-11608A being farthest from the compressor and DA97-04049D being closest to the compressor) are inspected for any residue that may be causing them to clog up.
