For Samsung Refrigerator Drain Tube Clip (Part Number: OEM21061884)

Steven for Model Number RF261BEAESR/AA

I have a Samsung Refrigerator model RF261BEAESR/AA and there is water pooling in and under crispers. Also there is ice forming on back wall and drain is frozen. I have seen online in multiple forums and on this site, that the fix is to replace the drain clip with Part Number DA61-06796A (AP5579885). However I have also seen in online videos that this clip may not work on the model RF261BEAESR/AA because the bar that the clip goes on to is bent more in a V than other models so this replacement clip does not fit. Also on Amazon when I put the model in above it comes back and states this part is not compatible. However in the Q&A on this site I see this part repeatedly being recommended as the fix for RF261BEAESR/AA The question is, before I order it, do you know for certain that this part will fit on this model? Have customers with RF261BEAESR/AA confirmed it fits? Thanks

Steven, the refrigerator defrost heater would use the heater plate DA61-03644A. The drain clip DA61-14306A could potentially be used but require a little manipulation to fit it in place properly.

Wendy for Model Number RF18HFENBWW

Hello, We're getting water under crispers and then into our freezer and frost/ice forming, our daughter gave us this fridge that came with house they bought, they used it for awhile and nothing happened, bring it to us and a couple of mos we're having issues...Husband leveled it after we thawed it and cleaned out....so waiting to see if it was unbalanced, would that do it? But we're wanting to replace the evaporator clip as well and the original part # is DA61-07451A, is the above item the replacement? If not can you direct me to it. Thank you.

Wendy, The reason for the back up of water is because the drain that's in the back of your unit by the compressor is dirty and water can't get through it to the drain pan. The manufacturer has revised the part and that part number will be DA97-04049D and there are 2 of them. If replacing these you will still need to clear all the ice and flush the tube where the drain clip is.

N. Mehta, Yes, The drain clip tabs wrap around the defrost heater and the long end is in the drain hole. Don't forget to periodically clean the drain tubes themself to help with good exit flow.
