Mike F. November 28, 2018 for Model Number Samsung DV400EWHDWR/AA I ordered the thermal fuse #DC47-00016A. The part I received is labeled "Thermostat" on its packaging. Two questions: 1) Is this part labeled "thermostat" the same as the thermal fuse that attaches to the blower housing? 2). What is the similar looking part that attaches to the dryer element housing (next to the high limit thermostat)? Thank you.
1 Answer Mike, Use our photos on the website to see if your part differs from what you received. The part next to high limit is a thermostat. Read More...
Mike August 02, 2018 for Model Number DV210AGW/XAA My dryer won't heat, I had the same problem a few months ago and I changed the heating element and it worked for a few months now it doesn't have any heat again. The heating element is good, the vent is clear, what else could it be? Thanks
1 Answer Mike, check the thermal fuse on the heater housing to see if it is open, it should be closed. If it is open, you may need to replace the high limit thermostat and operating thermostat. Read More...
Paul June 10, 2018 for Model Number DV410AEW/XAA Great video. I'd like to order the thermal fuse before I take this dryer apart, I'll check it with an ohm meter to make sure that's the issue. How common is the thermal fuse the problem? Should I order the thermostat as well? Regards, Paul
1 Answer Paul, If the unit is not running it would be very possible that the thermal fuse is blown but would also want to make sure that the venting from the blower wheel to the outside of the home is clean as obstructions will cause the thermal fuse to blow. Read More...
Chris G. April 03, 2018 for Model Number DV330AGB/XAA Hello, I own a samung DV330AGB/XAA front load dryer. I turned the dryer on one evening and all I got was a click. The timer flashed from 40 minutes to 39. The main issue is the drum not spinning. I replaced the belt and idler assembly. They both needed it. Put everything back together and same symptoms. The dryer will not spin. I tyhought maybe the issue could have been the idler assembly not closing the switch. **Honestly not sure if that switch is supposed to stayed open or closed.** Next thing I pulled out was thermal fuse. Well it said I needed a multimeter to test this to verify continuity. I did that and when I touched the leads together to test them it gave me an audible tone indicating a closed circuit. When I put the leads one on each leg of the thermal fuse I did not get any audible tone and the screen read "OL". I am hoping this may be my issue why the dryer drum does not spin. Any help is appreciated.
1 Answer Hello Chris, You will need to check the thermal fuse and the door switch with a meter and see if either is bad and will need to be replaced on the unit. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter. http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/oven-repair-including-ranges-cooktops/4810-how-check-continuity-ohmmeter.html Read More...
Tom S March 23, 2018 for Model Number DV45K6200EW/A3 My dryer lights up and the red filter indicator light is on. When I press start, it makes a faint click noise, but the dryer will not start. The red filter light has been on for a while. Yesterday I cleaned out a birds nest from the dryer vent. The dryer duct was also very dirty and full of lint. I am assuming it overheated. Which Thermal Fuse should I purchase? Thermal Fuse Located on blower housing. by Samsung Part Number AP4201894 (seems so much easier to install) -OR- Thermal Fuse Located on heating element housing. by Samsung Part Number AP4201892 Thank you! I love your service! I always purchase from you guys.
1 Answer Tom, For this issue you would want to check the thermal fuse located on the blower housing to see if it has continuity. If it does not then it is faulty and would need to be replaced. Read More...
Ernest January 16, 2018 for Model Number Dv210aew My dryer was not drying and the drum need help to spin so I replaced the heating element and belt thinking it would fix the problem didn't fix the drum issue but it dried my clothes for the first 3 loads and now its not drying again what could the problem be.
1 Answer Ernest, With the unit not tumbling then this issue sounds likely that it will be a faulty motor on the unit. Read More...
Lys January 11, 2018 for Model Number Dv210aew/xaa My electric dryer keeps throwing an he code. I’ve replaced the heating element, and it heats fine. I’ve also replaced the moisture sensors, cleaned the lint filter housing, and replaced the wiring harness. These combined with making sure that no breakers were tripped have made it so the dryer will finish it’s cycle, but end with the he code. Any other suggestions?
1 Answer Lys, You will want to make sure that the venting is clean all the way to the outside of the home but this issue with everything working properly will most likely be the main board causing this error. Read More...
Glenn March 19, 2017 for Model Number DV350AER XAA03 My dryer is a Samsung - I was drying on the 40 minute timed cycle and it quit at 31 minutes. The lights on the control panel are on - there is no error code but the dryer will not start. It turns on and off but will not start. We checked the belt and pulley and all is well there. We made sure the lent tube was clear and it was. When you turn the power on and push start, you can hear a click but that is all.
1 Answer Glenn, For this issue you will want to check the thermal fuse for your unit and would test the thermal fuse for continuity. Also check the door switch to make sure that the switch is good. Read More...
Jason K January 23, 2017 for Model Number DV210AEW/XAA My dryer quit drying. Found this site plus a few others and started troubleshooting away. I replaced the thermal fuse, the high limit thermostat and the heating element. Dryer worked fine for about 4 loads but then quit drying (next day). Did some more research and read about the vents possibly being clogged. I've lived in my house for 10 years and never had it done, so I had them cleaned (not bad but air flow was restricted). This time I replaced the thermal fuse, high limit thermostat and the thermistor. Ran a couple of loads and it quit again. Then, I read about the heat relay possibly being stuck open on the main board but by this time, I called a tech to come look at it. Everything was good (continuity), he replaced the thermal fuse so we thought that the only issue could be the main board. I bought refurbished main board from a reputable seller. I replaced the board and three loads later, here we go again. Any additional thoughts on what the issues could be? Can you let me know which thermal fuse is correct as I see there a few options. I need the one with the bracket. Thanks
1 Answer Jason, The correct thermal fuse for the model number you supplied is DC96-00887C / DC96-00887A. Since you still seem to have an intermittent heat problem, but no error codes you'll want to check and make sure the power cord is properly secured to the terminal block and there are no loose connections, then check the wiring at the RY connector on the main control board, the black wire is power into the control board and the blue wire is power out to the heater circuit and through the thermostats and thermal fuse. Make sure there aren't any loose connections, twisted or kinked wires and all the connections are tight. Read More...
