Tim May 03, 2011 for Model Number RS2555SL The ice tray was completely over filled and frozen over. It looks like water ran down into the ice container and froze the turning part. Could it be the the valve that is bad? Thanks for the help.
1 Answer Hello Tim. Yes, it sounds like the valve is not shutting off quick enough and it is overflowing the icemaker. You can watch the water flow when the icemaker cycles, and see if it is not stoping correctly. Hope this helps. Read More...
Eric L. April 26, 2011 for Model Number RS267labp A while back,we had the house freeze up and the ice maker has not worked since. Any ideas? Thanks Eric
1 Answer Hello Eric. You will need to test and see if there is power going to the valve when the icemaker is in harvest mode. If there is power there, but the valve is not working, you will need to replace the water valve. Also check and make sure the fill tube is not froze. If the icemaker does not cycle, you will need to replace the icemaker DA97-00258G. You can test this with a multi-meter MA-DM1. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter. Paul April 12, 2011 for Model Number RF267AARS I just received my order, the water valve part #AP4165558 (DA74-40149D) and see the design has been modified with threaded inlets for the water and ice. Is there an install kit with compression bushings and nuts to secure each of the water tubes or do I have to get them from a hardware or home supply store?
1 Answer Hello Paul! For your model RF267AARS we show valve DA62-00914B should have been ordered. This has the compression fittings already included that you are requesting. You may return the incorrect valve by following our returns page link, thanks! http://www.appliancepartspros.com/customerservice/returns.aspx Read More...
Dan G. March 16, 2011 for Model Number RS2533SW Water drips constantly from the ice-tray fill tube of my Samsung RS2533SW refrigerator. Seems to me that the AP4165558 valve would be the culprit. Any thoughts? Thanks in advance! Dan
1 Answer Hello Dan. Yes, it sounds like the valve has a slow leak. If you have changed the filter, you will need to bleed the air out of the lines. Hope this helps. Read More...
