Widow May 31, 2023 for Model Number DW80F800UWA/AA OK, I was just going to clean the filter on this Samsung Model DW80F800UWA/AA 01. It turned out to be a major operation. Noticed water standing in the bottom of the dw, so looked for reasons. I have extracted the "Check valve" and it is intact, but I'm wondering if it should have a permanent curve? Do I need a new one that is NOT warped from wear and age? Thanks a bunch!
1 Answer Hello Widow, the check valve should not have a curve and should be flexible to allow the port to seal when needed. Read More...
Dt57 January 19, 2023 for Model Number DMT800RHS/XAA Second time asking the question, from your website I can see what the part number is. What I am asking is, what diameter should the DD66-00045A check valve be? I think mine was replaced by the previous owner and looks to small, just at 3/4 of an inch diameter.
1 Answer DT57, unfortunately, the manufacturer does not provide the diameter of the drain check valve DD66-00045A. However, based on the 1" grid, it appears to be just over 3/4" in diameter. Read More...

Vs July 29, 2022 The check valve is warped in my dishwasher and it’s throwing an OE error code. If I remove it altogether, it still throws OE. I thought this valve was to stop backflow. Is it not right? Will replacing it fix the OE error?
1 Answer The OE code is an over-water level code. The check valve is typically not an issue. Remove and clean the case assembly on the left-hand side of the dishwasher. If cleaning it does not solve the issue replace the case assembly. Read More...
Bob D. October 16, 2021 for Model Number Samsung DW80F800UWS I’ve replaced the drain check flapper on this unit twice in the past 2 years because it swells and gets twisted. What is causing it to do this? The smelly dishwasher is getting frustrating and these valves aren’t cheap.
1 Answer Hello Bob, Two things cause the swelling and malformation of rubber parts inside the dishwasher. Pre-rinsing the dishes and oversoaping the unit are the two worst things you can do to a dishwasher. You see, the detergent is designed to attack food particles. When there is too much detergent in relation to the amount of food particles present, the chemical reaction produced by the combination of hot water and detergent will attack the next easiest things to attack. The things that get attacked are rubber components in the dishwasher, patterns on plates, silverware, and clear glassware. First, never rinse dishes before putting them in the dishwasher. Next, if possible, use premeasured tablets or "pods" in the dishwasher. Read More...
Jim January 30, 2020 for Model Number DW80F600UTS/AA-0000 I am replacing the drain check valve. The rubber valve is concave in shape. Does it matter which way the valve is installed? Thank You
1 Answer Hello Jim, the flapper prevents waste water from flowing back down the drain hose into the drain pump, the concave half should point into the drain pump outlet. Read More...
Brian January 05, 2020 for Model Number DW80F800UWS/AA-0000 Clear water puddling under dishwasher Stopped after turning off water supply (No apparent supply line leak)
1 Answer Brian, it is recommended that the valve DD62-00084A is inspected for any cracks as this could cause the issue that is occurring. It would also be recommended that the supply line is attached, water supply on, and the valve is pulled forward when inspecting as this will help identify if there is a leak at the valve. Sylvain May 19, 2019 for Model Number DW80F800UWS/AA-0000 hi my dishwasher does not wash well. at the end, there is plenty of residue on the dishes, it does not filter its water. so there is plenty of small particles on the dishes. what is it's problem? thank you
1 Answer Sylvain, you will want to check to ensure that the fine filter mesh DD63-00104A is intact and does not have any damage. It is possible that there is a soap residue build up which can be resolved by using Affresh [W10282479] and running the unit through a cleaning cycle. You may also want to check to ensure that there is not excessive soap build up at the dispenser as this can clog the rinse aid dispenser. Read More...
Richard April 20, 2019 for Model Number DMT 800 RHS I'm getting a 5E code. The Samsung washer starts and then stops and the error code appears on the panel and water is left in the sump, after trouble shooting I found that the neck of the Drain Check Valve AP5331254 is twisted, but still appears to be functioning. I plan to order a new one and replace it. The Drain Hose AP4981888 was obstructed near the end where it enters the Brake with a piece of grey plastic (from the deteriorated upper basket height adjuster) and a small flapper valve, 3/4" in diameter with a torn tab 1/8" high x 7/16" wide, with a 1/8" x 1/16" rectangular hole in behind the plastic. These pieces were dislodged when I flushed the hose with tap water. I'm unable to identify where this 3/4" flapper comes from, it's part number and if it's replaceable. Thanks
1 Answer Hello Richard, The drain check valve DD66-00045A fits inside the sump assembly. You will need to access it from inside the dishwasher by disassembling the pump from the inside of the dishwasher tub. It will be located below the sump cover DD63-00099A. Read More...
Bob October 15, 2017 for Model Number DW80F600UTS/AA-0000 Replaced drain pump because of water remaining in after completed cycle. Found I thought was low flow and removed pump screen and found part of check valve missing. I was unable to blow or run water back into tub via the drain hose. Is there another check valve or is the old check obstructing flow? Thanks
1 Answer Hello Bob. If the water is clean, you will need to look for a leaking valve. If it is not clean, then check the hose for clogs and the filter since the pump is new. Thanks. Read More...
