Isabella August 22, 2024 for Model Number VGBQ54200 Hi, my viking outdoor grill is not igniting. There are no sparks in any of the burners. I've tested the module. I checked for 120 VAC from the following L, N = 120 1,2,3,4= 120 (when I turn the Knob) Then checked the other wires of the module, the ones that sends the energy to the igniters, and it reads 44. Should it be also 120? Does it mean that I need a new module? thanks
1 Answer Isabella, if the area around the spark igniters is thoroughly clean of any residue that may prevent proper sparking, the failure would be in the spark module. Read More...
John August 28, 2023 for Model Number VGRT-360-6B-SS I have an older VGRT-360-6B model, which has a Harper-Wyman 6540 Spark Module. I can't find this part available, would PA020047 be compatible?
1 Answer Hello John, the manufacturer has discontinued the original spark module and it is no longer available, as we are an OEM parts retailer and since there is no substitute part listed, we cannot advise on replacing it with a similar part, as a suggestion you can contact the manufacturer's Customer Service with your question. Bill August 04, 2022 for Model Number VGIC305-4BSS None of the spark ignitors work on the cooktop. Earlier they would intermittently work then later they would not. Now none of them come on. Thanks for your help
Andrew April 04, 2022 for Model Number vgic3654 I replaced the spark module as there was no spark for burners or center grill. After replacement the problem still exists. Any recommendations on how to isolate the real problem?
1 Answer Andrew, There are ignition switches on the burner valves. Test the switches to make sure that there is continuity in the light position. If there is not then the switches will be the issue. Also make sure that the burner caps are clean and the burner heads are clean. Read More...
Ted December 31, 2021 for Model Number viking VGR48-60-ss serial v1030292 My ignitors are intermittent. Each burner knob works when ignitor is working, and everything lights. Most of the time, the ignitor doesn't spark at any of the burners, it makes no sound. I'm assuming the ignitor module needs replacement as it appears to be original (25 years old?) Do you have a replacement/ substitute for the Harper Wyman Kool Lite 6521?
1 Answer Ted, If this is happening with all of the burners then yes it would be the spark module that is the issue. Read More...
Anthony September 07, 2021 for Model Number DGCU105-4BSB Would this part be compatible with PA020020? My Viking 4-burner gas cooktop currently has the spark module pa020020. I'm trying to get the pa020020 replaced. Thanks a lot. Anthony

Pj August 31, 2021 for Model Number VGBQ54203REMSS Hi - My outdoor Viking grill (VGBQ54203REMSS) is having issues where the igniter keeps sparking (clicking) ever after the burner is lit. Is this likely a spark module issue, a burner electrode gone bad, or possibly something else? Appreciate your help. - PJ
1 Answer PJ, The spark switch would be the most likely cause for the igniter to continuously click. Read More...
Manny December 07, 2020 for Model Number vgic365-6bss currently on my 6 burner the 2 center and 2 right burners click and ignite, the two right burners do not click and only ignite with a match. I have taken the plate igniters off and cleaned and reinstalled to no avail. With a volt meter how do I check (1 the spark ignition switch or 2. the spark module to diagnose the problem? Thank you for your attention
1 Answer Manny, You will want to make sure that the area around the igniter under the top is clean. The ignition switches should have continuity when they are in the light position and if there is no continuity then the switch is faulty and would need to be replaced. This issue sounds likely that the spark module may be the cause for this issue but all you can do is test incoming power to the model but cannot test outgoing power. Read More...
Li January 24, 2020 for Model Number VGIC365 I need to replace my Inverses re-ignition spark ignitor (PA020047) which I find online. But i also need to replace the wiring that goes with it. I can't find that online. Is there a part number for the wiring?
Clark December 10, 2017 for Model Number VGIC3054BSS My viking oven stopped working part way through baking a pizza. It warmed up initially, but the oven burners would not come back on to keep the temperature up. Now the oven burners will not ignite at all. I here the "click" when turning the oven on (but no flame) and the stove burners still ignite, so I assumed it was the oven ignitors and replaced them. But the new ones do not glow when I turn the oven on. Could this mean the spark module is not working? Or is there another component that is causing this? Thank you!
1 Answer Clark, This issue will most likely be caused by a faulty gas control valve which will be part number PB010084. Read More...
