Ken, it would be recommended that the wires routed from the fan to the main control are inspected for any bare or damaged spots. If there is not any damage to the wires, the connections would need to be checked to ensure they are seated fully. If this checks good, then the most likely failure would be the main control 5304514670 (based on no new error codes being displayed).

Terry, you will need to replace the vent assembly, the part number is 5304523304. You will need to remove the dishwasher to replace the vent assembly. The clicking you are hearing is the door trying to open or close. If it does not close, you will have water leaking out around the tub during the wash cycle. Once the dry cycle begins, the door should open to allow humidity to escape, thus drying the dishes.

Michael, If the fan works with the unit sitting out in the open but will not work when the unit is pushed back under the cabinet then you will want to check for a wiring issue. The issue may not be at the fan itself but maybe a loose or broken wire where the wires transition from under the unit to the door. Would suggest checking all the wiring of the unit.

Scott, The unit will not vent out of the bottom of the door and the fan is what would pull the steam out. There may be a leak around the door seal that is causing steam to come out at the top of the door. The vent assembly motor could also be weak and not pulling enough.
