The LP Orifice Kit is an OEM part for Whirlpool gas ranges. It contains a set of five orifices designed specifically for use with liquid propane (LP) gas. Note: For the oven orifices, on some models they are adjustable and some they are not. Refer to parts list for your model when oven orifices are needed. LP orifice kit includes 5 orifices.

Causes of a bad LP Orifice Kit may stem from incorrect orifice size for the specific LP gas supply, wear or damage to the orifices over time, or improper installation.

Symptoms of needing to replace the LP Orifice Kit can include:

Uneven heating or incomplete combustion of the burners
Yellow or flickering flames instead of a steady blue flame
Reduced cooking performance or inefficient heating

Hoping someone can help with a confusing range conversion to LP. I bought a used Whirlpool GFG461LVS1 Gas Range for the cottage that was originally NG. I have been trying to convert to LP and have had problems determining what parts are needed for the Bake and Broiler. I have had two gas pros come - one is a tech and the other was a friend who is a gas fitter. Both have not been able to solve the problem. After speaking to the customer service rep at Whirlpool and confirming the part, I ordered the replacement parts W10859321, which included a bake "56" green orifice and broil "100" silver orifice. Link below, although part was ordered through Whirlpool. http://www.appliancepartspros.com/whirlpool-orifice-w10859321-ap5989906.html The main problem is the Bake orifice is male-threaded while the part that was taken out, a gold labelled "49-56" was female threaded. Therefore the bake orifice doesn't fit on the nub. The Broiler orifice ("100") seems to fit the broiler nub but smelled of gas when lit up and therefore has not been used. Does anyone have any suggestions on who can clarify this? Thanks in advance!

Christian, For this model you would simply need to tighten down the original orifices down to snug and open the air shutters on this unit. You do not need to change the orifices.

I recently bought this stove used. I saw it working in their house but won't in mine. I did not realize that there was a difference in gases. They have lp and I have natural. What will i need to convert back to natural for this specific model. Thanks in advance.

Rodriguez, To convert this unit back to Natural gas you will need to loosen the orifice for the bake and broil burner approximately 1 1/2 to 2 turns and the air shutter needs to be about 3/4 of the way open. You will also need to flip the cap on the regulator from LP to Nat. You will need to get the top burner orifices for the right rear WPW10170506, center WPW10170507, left rear WPW10170508, right front WPW10170510 and left front W10853607.

Steve, For the bake conversion to LP you will need part number W10859321.

Joe, The parts that you will need to convert the unit back to natural gas are right rear orifice WPW10170506, center orifice WPW10170507, left rear orifice WPW10170508, left front orifice W10853607, right front orifice WPW10347414. The orifices for the bake and broil are not available as separate parts and you will need to get the broil fitting W10583216 and the gas valve WPW10602004.

I have this Whirlpool stove that is LP Im trying to convert it back to NAT gas. what all parts do I need?

Mojo, To convert the unit back to natural gas you will need to adjust the oven orifices by loosing then approximately 1 1/2 to 2 turns and closing the air shutters off to about 1/4 way open. On the regulator you will need to flip the cap from LP to NAT. On the main top you will need 2 of the small burner orifices WP9753928 and 2 large WP9753929.
