Janet September 19, 2019 for Model Number MDE6700AYW All of our lights light up, the dryer dries, but we can't change modes, times or anything. When the dryer is off we hear a buzzing sound. Thank you
1 Answer Hello Janet, If the buttons are responding, the control WP35001153 would be the issue. If not, the control panel 35001269 would be in question. I'm sorry but this part 35001269 has been discontinued by the manufacturer and no satisfactory substitutions have been provided. Thank you for your patience and understanding in this matter. Geo S August 29, 2019 for Model Number MDE9700AYM My Maytag MDE9700AYM dryer powers up and display is lit but the drum wont turn and the control panel makes a clicking noise when turned on /off the belt is on and the tension seems fine don't want to spend 200 - 250 on a control panel if i don't need one any help is appreciated. I read something off an old post that was helpful. How do you Test the voltage/ohms on the Door Switch the Belt Switch and the Thermal Fuse to determine if one of those is causing the problem. I have a Multimeter to test/check Please Help Thank You Geo S
1 Answer Geo, The clicking you hear is probably the motor relay on the control panel. You can do a voltage test at the control panel to test the relay. On the motor relay, you will have a brown and black wire. Not running you should have 120 vac on the black wire testing it in respect to a neutral which is pin 1 on the control. [white wire] When you press start that relay should close and allow the voltage to go through the brown wire. Keep one lead on the white wire and move the other lead to the brown wire when you press start. If no voltage then the control is bad. I am also sending you a sheet for testing other components. But for the motor to run you only have a belt switch, a door switch and one safety thermostat. Read More...
Darrin July 22, 2019 for Model Number amana ned7200 I have a ts fault code. Cleaned everything. Replaced thermistor. Cannot access service mode. What's next? Thanks!
1 Answer Hello Darrin, the code refers to a faulty dryer temperature thermistor, it is part WP35001191, once replaced you have to access the test mode and clear the fault code before the control board will allow operation. Read More...
Jason February 09, 2019 for Model Number MGD9700AWW Hello, we have a Maytag dryer, model MGD9700AWW that quit working after it finished a cycle. Finished one load and then it just started buzzing. Digital display is completely blank and controls don’t work, drum turns just fine manually and I can not stop the buzzing unless I unplug the unit. Could it possibly be the main control board? Thanks in advance.
1 Answer Jason, Based on the information this will most likely be caused by a main control board that is faulty. The board part number is WP35001153. Read More...

Myron M. January 13, 2017 for Model Number NED7200TW Dryer not heating. I have checked the element, wires and the thermostats.
1 Answer Hello Myron, You should run the diagnostic model to pull any fault codes as per the tech sheet. The thermistor should be checked for 10K ohms of resistance. You should verify the belt switch is making electrically when the belt is installed. The centrifugal switch in the motor also has to pass voltage for the unit to heat as does the control. David December 01, 2016 for Model Number MDE9700AYW TS error code. No restrictions in vent. Tested thermistor at 10000 ohms but replaced anyway. Cleared codes. No joy. Same error. I guess main control board is logical next part to replace?
1 Answer Hello David. Test the wiring on the unit first. If good, then replace the board. Read More...
Joe November 22, 2016 for Model Number NGD7200TW10 I have an Amana NGD7200TW dryer that does not get hotter than 122F regardless of which temperature level is selected or whether on time or sensor dry. Temp measurement is based on what temp is displayed in diagnostic mode. All venting has been checked and cleaned. Dryer passes all diagnostic tests and no codes show. Have tested thermostat, thermistor, hi-limit, and gas valve coils. Replaced thermistor just to be sure. Still cannot get dryer to heat higher than what appears to be a 'low' temp level and clothes take an excessive time to dry - much longer than previously. I would appreciate any advice as to what to check further or what parts would be needed. Thanks.
1 Answer Joe, This issue with all the thermostats and thermistor checking ok would most likely be caused by a faulty main control board on the unit. The part number for the control board is WP35001153. Read More...
Rod October 28, 2016 for Model Number MDE9700AYW What is the cause of a Whirlpool 35001153 control board going bad, replaced two now. keeps blowing the 2200uf capacitor. any clues?
1 Answer Sorry Rob. We do not have a board breakdown to determine what could cause that issue. It could just be board failure overtime. Read More...
Tuan May 16, 2016 for Model Number MDE9700AYM Plug in there is only internal light. All buttons no light, no work. Please help me which part do I need to replace.
1 Answer Hello Tuan. Make sure the thermal fuse is good. If so, then test for power to the user interface WP35001227. If it is there and it does not work, you will need to replace the interface. If there is no power, replace the main board WP35001153. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3.
