Mike September 12, 2021 for Model Number JDS9861AAP I have model JDS9861AAP Serial 11811411GV and when I turn on broil everything works fine. When I turn on bake after 30 seconds the the 30 amp circuit breaker blows. I noticed that the lower element and the upper element were starting to get hot. What could this be? I thought maybe the lower element was bad, shorted, and tripping the breaker. But I replaced that and it still does not work. Maybe the control board? what do you think? Thanks
1 Answer Mike, Check the wiring between the element and the control board. If the wiring is good then put an amp clamp on the power cord when you start the bake and see if you are drawing more than 30 amps. If it is not then it sounds like you may have a weak breaker. If it is then you are most likely looking at a control board issue. Read More...
Chris March 13, 2021 for Model Number JDS9860AAP When preheating our Jenn-Air dual fuel range Model #JDS9860APP the control panel will shut off by itself or it won't shut off but takes a long time for it to reach 350 degrees. Also the clock on the panel will just start flashing on its own and sometimes flashes the word "LOCK" but does not lock the oven door.
1 Answer Chris, An erratic operation like described usually will be the control board causing the issue. Read More...
Mom In Nw Wa September 17, 2020 for Model Number JDS9860AAP There are two electronic circuit boards coming up on this model number, WP5760M301-60 and WP5760M302-60. Will the latter work on Serial Number 21787878GA? I have read that it works on version 17 and later (first two numbers of serial) and I look to have version 21, so I am assuming yes. My appliance repair guy quoted me 301-60 and it is a lot more, but this site seems to suggest the 302-60 will work as well, and my friend got that one for her same stove and said it worked. Please verify. The relay is broken so have that famous buzzing and elements warming but not getting hot.
1 Answer Mom, The WP5760M302-60/WP5760M302-60 Electronic Control Board is correct for the model and serial number you supplied. Unfortunately, the part is presently out of stock and will need to be ordered from the manufacturer. This will add a few days to the delivery time, once you place the order. Thanks, Read More...
Paul July 06, 2020 for Model Number JDS9860AAP The clock on my range won't work - it's on but doesn't keep time. Everything else works. What part fixes the problem? Thanks
Ralph May 19, 2020 for Model Number JDS986AAP Hi, Started with an f9 code on display. We have removed the door latch motor (I believe to be faulty). There was a momentary f3 code but now only an f1 code after the oven has been on and heating for a while and it shuts down. Could this be the control board? Serial number on the unit is 14466617zz
1 Answer Ralph, With the error codes that you are getting, this issue would most likely be caused by a faulty control board on the unit. Read More...
Cameron March 05, 2020 for Model Number JDS9860AAP Was told by technician I need a new control panel due to F3 and F1 code. Already replaced the Temp sensor and didn't fix issue so would this control panel work on Series 16681274CE? Would you replace in from the front instead of the back of oven?
1 Answer Cameron, the control WP5760M301-60 would be used with the model number and series provided. It would be easiest to replace this board from the front. Read More...
Brendan January 13, 2020 for Model Number JDS9860AAP My unit will very slowly heat to about 300 when set for 350? I believe it maybe the control board? Which board is correct for my unit Serial number starts with 199877, the rest is scratched off. Thanks
1 Answer Hello Brendan, on the rear of the range under the lower back panel, there is a double line break relay WP74003482, if the contacts are failing it will cause slow heating in the oven. Read More...
Kent December 23, 2019 for Model Number JDS9860AAP I have a Jenn-air range model JDS9860AAP. Received an F1 code and the broiler not can not be canceled and the oven is over is heating. I have turned the range off at the circuit breaker. What part do I need to repair it and how do I gain access to make the repair?
1 Answer Hello Kent, the broil element relay on the main control board is stuck closed, the board part number is WP5760M301-60, to access it the front console needs to be removed. Start by turning off the power to the stove, open the oven door and remove the underside console screws, pull the stove out enough to access and remove the side control console side mounting screws, , if needed you may to also remove the cooktop knobs and trim rings. Jason December 02, 2019 for Model Number JDS9860AAP Hi - When I use the oven, there is a buzzing sound and both elements take a really long time to heat up and never reach above 250-300. Based on my research, it appears that I need to replace the control panel (AP6009796). Please confirm that this is the appropriate fix and that I have the right part for my oven (Ser# 19111370EL). Thanks.
1 Answer Hello Jason, your model stove has an auxiliary relay mounted on the back of the stove under the rear panel. It gives the control board control over the L2 line to the bake/broil elements. Should it start to fail it typically makes a buzzing noise and does not allow the full voltage to reach the elements in oven., it is part WP74003482. Read More...
