Questions & Answers

For Whirlpool Lower Bearing Assembly (Part Number: OEM12025632)

Hello Bob, I'm sorry but the belt is designed to slip upon start-up on this design. This allows time for the water to drain before getting to top speed, which would cause the centrifugal force to make the water "jump" the tub, putting water in the floor. The issue is most likely a seizing spin bearing. This would require both the replacement of the tub bearing repair kit 6-2040130 and the mounting stem repair kit 6-2095720.

Hello Paul. You will need to check the pump for the noise. Turn it by hand. If it drags, replace the pump WP35-6780. Sounds like that going to be the issue. For the white shavings, replace the snubber WP21002026.

Lashawn, The most likely cause for this issue would be a drain pump that is faulty. You will want to check the pump to see if the pulley will spin if it will not or the bearing is coming out then this will be the issue and pump will need to be replaced.

Adrian C for Model Number MAV2755AWW

When my washer goes into cycle it doesn't agitate, Is just sits there unit it reaches the spin cycle then it agitates while spinning but then starts making a clacking noise while spinning. Also seem to slow down a bit and leaves clothes a little damper than usual. Also it seems like when it makes the clacking noise the washer spin slows down and looks like the agitator gets stuck cause it the washer spins but agitator doesn't move. Have any idea what it could be?

Ken, The bearing on the unit does not need a puller or anything. The bearing is screwed into the tub and if you are doing the lower bearing it is screwed into place.
