I have two Whirlpool MBR2258XES4 refrigerator on top freezer on bottom that were purchased at the same time. They have both stopped cooling in the refrigerator but the freezers work fine. I took down one unit finding the evaporator coil frozen over. After defrosting all appears to be working fine. On the second unit I decided to check the CB diagnostics first to see if It will tell me more specifically what the issue(s) are. I held in the light switch and pressed the freezer + button three times. Instead of the displays reading "S" and "E" it reads "S" and "H" respectively. Pressing the refrigerator + button does not display the software version, just the "H". Please advise what the "H" means and what further steps are recommended to diagnose the cause of my problem. Strange the two identical units, purchased at the same time would exhibit the same problem at the same time.

HI, We had an issue that our fridge/freezer became very warm. After restarting it worked well for 2 weeks and again became too warm. Our current Jazz was MA770227844f_TH Jazz - Rev M I ordered a new Jazz board that should be compatible with my board: S0-A0205628 Jazz Rev M. My fridge has code 28, but the board doesn't accept code 28. I found on several groups to use code 05. I have no idea if this can be done or not. Any idea of this is correct and what all does codes stand for? Thanks. Koen

Hello Chris, You will have to replace the lid lock assembly W11307244 and the board W10834542 to correct this issue. I'm sorry but this part W10834542 has been discontinued by the manufacturer and no satisfactory substitutions have been provided. Thank you for your patience and understanding in this matter.

The refrigerator stops cooling intermittently (when it does cool the refrigerator the evaporator fan blows cold air). The freezer is working properly. The touch pads to adjust the freezer and refrigerator temperature on this control board no longer function...they are "stuck" on 7 for the freezer and 5 for the refrigerator. Is the problem likely this board or are the temp settings controlled from elsewhere in the circuitry? Thanks, Larry

Adalberto, Based on the information provided then this will be a issue with the main control board of the unit.

Hello Edward. Unfortunately if the code is gone, then there is nothing you can do. You can try contacting the manufacturer but in most cases they will not know the code. Sorry.
