  • Restores control when buttons, displays, or cycle selection become unresponsive.
  • Can resolve erratic operation, unexpected shutdowns, or failure to start when caused by a failed control board.
  • Works with the appliance's sensors and power relays to sequence functions safely.
What's included: One electronic control board. Install notes:
  • Disconnect power (unplug or switch off breaker) before any service to avoid shock or damage.
  • Handle the board by its edges and avoid touching contacts; use an anti-static strap if available.
  • Transfer any mounting brackets, connectors, or user-interface assemblies as needed from the old board.
  • After installation, restore power and verify the control responds and cycles run normally.

Chris, Are the inside temp of your oven and the display the same temp? Possible temp sensor reading the wrong temperature. The correct test for the temp sensor is 1100 ohms at room temp. Any fault codes? Press cancel, cancel, start to enter service mode then press temp arrow keys up to screen 5A to see the last error code.Resistances for the two elements are 24 ohms for the bake and about 16 for the broil. If all these test good then most likely it is your control.

Hello Ashley, The clicking you hear when the door is opened is the light relay on the control. This is normal and must occur if the light is going to work. If the light doesn't come on, you should check for voltage at the light socket. If voltage is there, either the light socket or the light bulb is defective. You should refer to the owners' manual for the instructions on setting the time on the clock. Its' reference says: "The Clock uses a 12-hour cycle with a.m. and p.m. 1. Check that the oven is off. 2. Press CLOCK. 3. Press TEMP/TIME “+” or “-” arrow pads to set the time of day, including a.m. or p.m. 4. Press CLOCK or START." If the clock can still not be set, the electronic control W10876180 will require replacement.

Randy, You can check the oven sensor on the unit to see if it has proper resistance. The resistance should be 1090 ohms at room temp. If the resistance checks ok then the issue will most likely be caused by a faulty control board.

Diane for Model Number Whirlpool RF262LXSB4

First sign of a problem was that the light stayed on saying a burner was still on. That was yesterday. The burners still worked, as well as the oven. The next day, the light was still on saying a burner was on but again burners not on, but burners did not work either, and the oven did not work... seconds later lights out for the whole unit. No clock, no burner on light, no nothing. My dad checked to make sure power was getting to the unit, and also checked to see if the power cord had gone bad. It seems to be computer issues, but I am not the whirlpool repair man. I was thinking of ordering the control panel thing, and it looks like it might pop in and out. but not sure. there were no error codes, and of course, no power when I wanted to do the diagnostics. I mean, i had power, just the unit was dead. I was purchased April 2008

Diane, It sounds like you are having 2 different issues. The first issue of the light staying on saying that the element is on, if it is the hot surface indicator light then the issue would be in one of the elements. If it is the cooktop on indicator then problem is in one of the infinite switches. For the control board not operating it would be an issue with the control board assembly which would need to be replaced. To test the infinite switches you would check from P to chassis ground for 120vac. If there is voltage then the switch is bad. On the elements you would check from H to Chassis ground. These connection points are the neutral side and should not have power with the switches in the off position.

Jenny, If the self clean latch assembly has fallen out of the unit, and you're getting an F5 error code, they are related. " F5 - Door and switches do not agree / Door latch not operating" The ERC / Clock is looking for the door latch switches to be in a certain position when the control is in the time of day mode/, bake cycle, or the clean cycle. The ERC/Clock constantly checks the switch circuits to determine what the range should be doing. If there's an issue with the switches or the latch, the clock will display an F5 code. You'll need to slide the range away from the wall and check the latch assembly WPW10107820 on the back of the oven and check the latch WP9761013 on the front of the oven, and the linkage between the two.

Hi Pete. After confirming you are getting proper 240 vac to the L1, L2 at the board? Then while pressing bake are you getting the same out of the board at the L 1 and bake relay uotput? If not then you will need clock part # W10876180. Make sure both of the bake and broil elements ohm out to approx. 8-22Ohms. Make sure if you have a oven thermostat that it is closed. All of this should help. Thank you.
