Peggy February 20, 2020 for Model Number MBB2254GES My replacement box did not have the green wire. My current plug has 5 wires, one green, two white and two blue. Is the green separate wire required since my current plug has one? If not needed how do I wire to the new motor?
1 Answer Peggy, the grounding wire included in the kit would need to be used and is placed in between the fan motor and the lower front mounting bracket. Jack September 07, 2018 for Model Number ET22DKXDW01 Refrigerator kicked out the Ground Fault receptacle. Compressor was hot to the touch. Appears that both the Refrigerator & Freezer were cooling properly. Receptacle kept kicking out when the Refrigerator was replugged in. Waited until compressor cooled down and was then able to plug in Refrigerator without it kicking out the receptacle reset button and unit appeared to be cooling however fan did not ever start up & run. After a while the Refrigerator again kicked out the ground fault receptacle with the Compressor again being hot. Any suggestions? Thanks Jack
1 Answer Jack, Sounds like you have a short somewhere and with you saying the fans not running I'm assuming you meant the condenser fan. That fan needs to be running anytime the compressor runs. Check voltage and make sure your getting 120 vac to fan and replace if the voltage is there.833697 Read More...
Angie February 23, 2018 for Model Number 59679872990 My refrigerator has always been extremely loud. Sometimes it sounds like an airplane trying to take off. Both fridge and freezer work extremely well. Recently it's started to make a knocking sound when running and when freshly stocked gets warm. I can't fill to capacity or both fridge and freezer stop working. I'm trying to figure out which part I need to order. Thank you!
1 Answer Angie, You will want to check to see if the condenser fan motor is running and if it is not then the fan will be the most likely cause for this issue. Also check the frost pattern on the evaporator coils and see if the coils have an even frost pattern from top to bottom. If there is not then then this will be a sealed system issue in which you will need service. Read More...
Chris June 08, 2017 for Model Number BRF20TW No matter what temperature setting I have the refer set to the coldest it gets is about 45-48 degrees. When the fridge kicks on, I can hear it running plus feel the cold air push into the box. Does this sound like a thermostat problem, fan motor, run capacitor, or cold control thermostat. Thank you for the help!
1 Answer Chris, Remove the lower kick plate/grill and check the condenser coil and area get it all as clean as possible Then check the auto damper R0161050 in the control assembly, make sure the door opens and closes properly, the pivot may be broken, or the linkage is damaged and the door isn't opening or closing properly. and the door. Then remove the crisper drawers and check to make sure there's no debris on the refrigerator floor, especially in the rear corners that might be blocking the air return tunnels. Read More...
