Stephen October 19, 2015 for Model Number WED9200SQ0 Good Evening. I originally got an error code of F23. I replaced the thermistor and found out I needed to replace the thermal fuse, as well. It worked for about 10 loads. Then I got F25. I replaced that particular thermistor and the thermal fuse. It worked for 5 loads - ending with the final load overheating and destroying some clothing (permanent wrinkles). Everything I have found online says I need to replace the control board. Just wanting to get your opinion prior to ordering. Also, I saw a previous question that answered my next - I have a Rev B. Will any subsequent revision be fine. It seems that it will. Thanks for your time.
1 Answer Hello Stephen. Yes, it sounds like the control board is bad and will need to be replaced on the unit. Read More...
Ray G June 12, 2015 for Model Number WGD9400SU0 I have power in to the dryer at the control board. Interior light goes on and off as I open and close dryer door. No lights come on the control panel when pressed. No power light when pressed. I've been told either control board or control board interface. No click what so ever when I plug dryer back in after sitting unplugged for 30 seconds plus. Any returns on electrical if I get the wrong part on my own? Can I pick this up in Van Nuys or anywhere close tomorrow? Thanks.
1 Answer Ray, This issue would most likely be caused by a faulty main control board. As for picking the part up, we are a internet company with no store fronts. Here is a link to our return policy: http://www.appliancepartspros.com/customerservice/returns.aspx Read More...
John March 15, 2015 for Model Number WED9200SQ0 Diagnostics show the most recent fault of F:70 and the next is an F:29. The system did not beep when bridging the moisture sensor. Since the control error is first should I go ahead and replace the control board or diagnose further?
1 Answer John, First check the harness and connections at the WPW10110641 machine control board and the console electronics W10739618. At the machine control board, disconnect the moisture sensor harness and recheck the circuit for open with nothing on the sensor, and closed with metal or wet article placed across the sensor bar. If all's OK, replace the machine control board WPW10110641, the board probably has a short and is giving false readings and inputs. Read More...
Jeremy January 13, 2015 for Model Number 110.87087601 Good day, my original control board is w10110641 Rev B. I see the replacement one in the picture shows Rev D. Von Stegall July 25, 2014 for Model Number WGD9200SQ0 My timer has become not accurate. For example the for normal laod the timer states 48minutes, but the cycle only runs 24minutes. It is the same for all the different types of cycles. ie. light load through bulky. Which part controls the cycle time. Thank you.
1 Answer Von Stegall, You will want to test the exhaust thermistor as it will play a role in the length of time that the unit runs for. At room temperature the resistance of the thermistor should be between 11.5K and 13.5K ohms. If not within this range then replace the thermistor and if it checks ok then replace the control board. 1 Answer Deb, You forgot to include a model number, but the F-01 error code on most Whirlpool built dryer indicate a failure in the machine control board. " F:01 Primary Control Failure F:01 flashes when there is a primary control failure. Replace the machine control electronics. " It appears your on target as best we can tell. Read More...
Ang W. May 23, 2014 for Model Number wed9400sw0 I have replaced the control board but cant seem to remember which slots the Red & Black Wires go to. Is the Black plug into the bottom and Red on the top or vice versa. (Looking at control board on top let is a black box with 2 slots).
1 Answer Hello Ang, The red wire goes to the COM connection and the Black goes to the N.O. terminal. With the "black box, (relay), on top, the black will go toward the top and the red will go on the bottom of the black box, (relay). Read More...
James December 29, 2013 for Model Number 110878992601 I have a Kenmore H3 electric dryer. I have replaced the motor, thermisiter, thermostat, thermal fuse, thermal cutoff, cleaned the duct, the vents on back of dryer and visually inspected the heating element. james smith: and used a ohms meter to check the continuity of the element. But dryer is still getting to hot. Element heats up during Air Dry.
1 Answer James, This issue sounds like it would be caused by a stuck relay on the control board that is allowing power to constantly get to the heating element. Read More...
