This electronic control board is intended for use with dryers. This component is an interior part protected by other components of the dryer. The electronic control board is the part that ensures all of the other components are working correctly. It manages the parts and controls the temperature and cycle time of the dryer. The most common sign that the electronic control board has gone bad is a dryer that refuses to start. However, it can also cause the dryer to stop heating, continue a cycle endlessly, or cause start and stop behavior. To replace this part, a screwdriver and nut wrench will be required. Shut off the power before removing the top panel to access the electronic control board. Use the screwdriver to remove it so the new part can be installed. Reconnect the wires in the appropriate locations, reinstall the dryer panel, and restore power before using the appliance.Designed for use with Kenmore and Whirlpool dryers, this part is sold as a single item. It is an authentic replacement part that has been sourced directly from the manufacturer.

Good Evening. I originally got an error code of F23. I replaced the thermistor and found out I needed to replace the thermal fuse, as well. It worked for about 10 loads. Then I got F25. I replaced that particular thermistor and the thermal fuse. It worked for 5 loads - ending with the final load overheating and destroying some clothing (permanent wrinkles). Everything I have found online says I need to replace the control board. Just wanting to get your opinion prior to ordering. Also, I saw a previous question that answered my next - I have a Rev B. Will any subsequent revision be fine. It seems that it will. Thanks for your time.

I have power in to the dryer at the control board. Interior light goes on and off as I open and close dryer door. No lights come on the control panel when pressed. No power light when pressed. I've been told either control board or control board interface. No click what so ever when I plug dryer back in after sitting unplugged for 30 seconds plus. Any returns on electrical if I get the wrong part on my own? Can I pick this up in Van Nuys or anywhere close tomorrow? Thanks.

John, First check the harness and connections at the WPW10110641 machine control board and the console electronics W10739618. At the machine control board, disconnect the moisture sensor harness and recheck the circuit for open with nothing on the sensor, and closed with metal or wet article placed across the sensor bar. If all's OK, replace the machine control board WPW10110641, the board probably has a short and is giving false readings and inputs.

Von Stegall, You will want to test the exhaust thermistor as it will play a role in the length of time that the unit runs for. At room temperature the resistance of the thermistor should be between 11.5K and 13.5K ohms. If not within this range then replace the thermistor and if it checks ok then replace the control board.

Deb, You forgot to include a model number, but the F-01 error code on most Whirlpool built dryer indicate a failure in the machine control board. " F:01 Primary Control Failure F:01 flashes when there is a primary control failure. Replace the machine control electronics. " It appears your on target as best we can tell.

James, This issue sounds like it would be caused by a stuck relay on the control board that is allowing power to constantly get to the heating element.
