This electronic control board is intended for use with dryers. This component is an interior part protected by other components of the dryer. The electronic control board is the part that ensures all of the other components are working correctly. It manages the parts and controls the temperature and cycle time of the dryer. The most common sign that the electronic control board has gone bad is a dryer that refuses to start. However, it can also cause the dryer to stop heating, continue a cycle endlessly, or cause start and stop behavior. To replace this part, a screwdriver and nut wrench will be required. Shut off the power before removing the top panel to access the electronic control board. Use the screwdriver to remove it so the new part can be installed. Reconnect the wires in the appropriate locations, reinstall the dryer panel, and restore power before using the appliance.Designed for use with Kenmore and Whirlpool dryers, this part is sold as a single item. It is an authentic replacement part that has been sourced directly from the manufacturer.

Dave, It is possible that the heater relay on your control is stuck closed or the centrifugal switch is stuck closed not allowing the heater to turn off or your element has grounded to the casing and heats anytime the dryer is running. Test the terminals at the element to the heater housing and if you have continuity the heater needs replaced.
