Hello Zenna! This is normal. There is a balance ring with liquid inside to keep the tub balanced. The washer itself is not retaining extra water. Hope this helps you.

Sabrina, There should be a green string that looks like weed eater string when you open the dispenser area. If you pull this string then it should release the latch for the door. You will want to check the door gasket to ensure it is properly in place but also check the door lock assembly to make sure that it was reconnected properly.

I need to replace the door boot drain on my washer. Looking at your website's diagram for my washer number 18 is comprised of a door boot and a plug. However the diagram also shows in close proximity to the boot the following: hose clamp; spring tub; wire boot clamp; hose guard; spring clamp; and door boot drain hose. My question is are all these items included in what is identified as the Door Boot Drain Kit part no. AP4010226? Also, are clear removal and installation instructions provided?

1 Answer

Jim, The parts listed do not come with the door boot kit and if just the door boot needs to be replaced then they would not be required to be replaced but you can use the parts that are already on the unit.

Kelly, The best way to get the mildew off is to clean with bleach water and run a cycle on the hottest wash with bleach.

Shea for Model Number model#:NFW7200TW serial#:11923692PR

I have the model I just mentioned, it is an Amana front load washeri. I am a single mom so I know not much of washer repair, nor what the part is called (sorry). The gray rubber seal around the inside of my washer door has a piece missing. I noticed that it leaks from that area when washing laundry. There looks to be a wire with a spring on it behind the rubber seal. I need to know the part #, and actual name of part, also if its hard to replace so I can order from appliancepartspros. I've ordered before from this company and had EXCELLENT results and OUTSTANDING customer service :-). Thank you in advance, Shea

Shea, thats great! I'm glad we can assist you in the time of your parts needs! The large grey gasket is the bellow part number WP34001432. The rear clamp is part number 34001306 and the front clamp is part number WP34001266. You'll need to disconnect the power to the washer and remove the top assembly, control panel and dispenser. Remove the gasket from the front panel inside the door and then remove the front panel off the washer. Once this is removed you'll need to remove the band clamp holding the door gasket to the tub. Reinstall the boot in reverse order. Hope this helps you, let us know if you need anything else. Thank you for your inquiry.
