Paula L July 14, 2013 for Model Number ABB192ZDES I am looking for the bottom hinge for the freezer. It opens to the right and when I got the refrigerator the bottom hinge was lost. I just have it rigged now. Can you help? Like to get it fixed. :) thank you,
Nhut May 05, 2013 for Model Number Amana SSD25SL When I close my refrigerator door, my freezer door opens slightly and won't seal. From what I read, I'll need a door closure kit P/N AP4247867 (R0181181) That kit is for 1 or 2 doors? Will I need the bottom hinge (1 for each door?)? What's the P/N. How much? My SSD25SL is old. I want to replace everything that could go (and have the parts on hand) wrong since I have the door(s) removed.
1 Answer Nhut, The door closure kit R0181181 is for 1 door. The hinges would not need to be replaced. Read More...
Anne January 02, 2013 for Model Number SSZDE25KBW Amana I have a broken closer cam on lower right door hinge on refrigerator. When opening door, a thump noise is heard . How do I remove the electriclal wires to install the camat bottom of door?
1 Answer Hello Anne, The model number lised does not show as a valid model number but the upper hinge is where the wire harness should go for the dispenser. There would be a connector that you would disconnect. If the wire harness does come to the bottom of door then there would be a connector there and the connector will slide through a hole in the hinge and there would be a hole on the cam for the wires to go through. Sandy July 21, 2012 for Model Number SXD22S2W, MFG#P1303512WW Could I get the directions on how to replace the cams? I have purchased them, but want to know what all my husband and I can expect when trying to replace them. Thank you!
1 Answer Sandy, You'll need to remove power to the refrigerator, remove everything from the door bins, and remove the kickplate grille. Once you remove the top hinge cover 10849401 and the two screws holding the upper hinge assembly 12426201 to the cabinet, you can remove the hinge from the door panel, carefully open the fridge door enough to clear the opening and lift the door up and off the bottom hinge. You can then remove the mounting screw from the closer on the bottom hinge and the cam on the bottom of the door. Use a liberal amount of grease on the closer and cam when you start to re assemble the door. The freezer door will be a bit more difficult, you'll need to disconnect the water tube for the dispenser from the bottom hinge, and disconnect the dispenser wire harness under the top hinge cover, and then proceeed with the basic removel, install procedure. David B. October 27, 2011 Do the white cams screw into the bottom of the door? Do they fit over the post on the bottom hinge the same as the black ones?
1 Answer Hello David. The white cams install the same way the black ones do. The black are used for replacing the black cams and the white are for white refrigerators. They provide both in the kit R0181181. Hope this helps. Read More...
Gwilym September 23, 2011 for Model Number SZ22NW Thanks for the reply. I am not sure from your exploded view whether I also need part no 19? There are 3 different parts with this number (AP4080348, AP4253221, AP4253821) and I am unclear whether they would all be needed, or just one. Please clarify.
1 Answer Hello Gwilym. You should not need the shims. If the cam is all that broke, you will just need to order the cam kit R0181181. Hope this helps. Read More...
