Martin October 16, 2020 for Model Number Rs25awxew00 Can I remove the door cam completely? All our does is slam the door on me when looking in the refrigerator.
1 Answer Hello Martin, Removal of the door cams would cause the doors to be too low and the door strike would not be satisfactory for the door to close so this would not be advised. If you open the door further than you normally do, the cam will prevent the door from closing as it will rest in the next low place on the cam. Read More...

Mike November 23, 2016 Kitchenaid KSRS251 - The refrigerator door no longer lines up with the top of the freezer door. If you don't physically push the door closed it will not close completely by itself. The freezer door raises and lowers as you open or close the door. Do I only need cams or the complete hinge. Also what item number should I look for you have so many to choose from. Thank you
1 Answer Hello Mike, You will most likely have to replace the lower door cam WPW10329686 to correct this issue. Read More...
Ted G January 03, 2015 for Model Number KSRA25FKSS00 The refridgerater door does not close by itself. If you push it,the door will close. The bottom of door seems to stick out more than the top (out of alignment). The freezer door works just fine. The vegetable trays are pushed in.
1 Answer Ted, You will want to check the cams on the door hinge as this would be the most likely cause for the door not closing properly. Also check the unit to make sure that the unit is properly leveled as this could cause this issue as well. Read More...
Buckeye May 29, 2014 for Model Number Amana ASD2624HES Recently our refrigerator door stopped closing right. Usually you just push it to close and it takes care of finishing closing and sealing. Now, when you go to close it is will either stop before completely closing or it will close and bounce back open an inch or 2. If you push it closed, it will stay closed and seems to seal, but it's a real pain to have to do that, especially with kids in the house who don't always think to do it. Any help you could give me would be much appreciated! Thanks!
1 Answer Buckeye, You will want to check the door closure kit to make sure that it is not broken. If broken it will need to be replaced. The part number is R0181181. Also if the crisper shelves have been taken out recently for cleaning, make sure that they are slid all the way back. Read More...

Kathy January 06, 2014 for Model Number Amana SRD25VPSe I need to replace the plastic "cam/hinge" on my freezer door. I have done the Refrigerator door before but when I started taking the freezer door off, I have to deal with the Water tubing. How/where do I disconnect it so I can replace the "cam/hinge" and put the tubing through the hinge?
1 Answer Hello Kathy, You remove the kick panel and the water line is on the left side. Follow it back to the coupling. You will need to put down a towel and remove the side of the coupling closest to the door. If it is a threaded style, it will simply unscrew counterclockwise. If it a John Guess fitting, you will need to press the ring around the water tube toward the fitting and while holding it there, pull the water line out. To reinstall it you just press it back in and when it bottoms, push harder and it will pop in another 1/4 inch or so. To seal it, pull on it without holding the ring in. Read More...
Don August 02, 2013 for Model Number SBDE20S4SW I am trying to replace the hinge cam on the refrigerator door. There is a wiring harness that runs through the cam. I can unplug the wiring harness to remove the door. After removing the door, there is a large connector on the door side of the wiring harness, and I cannot fit this connector through the new cam. Suggestions? Thanks.
1 Answer Hello Don. These are tricky and require the removal of the spades from the connector then re-installed into the connector in the proper location. You will need a pin removal tool to do this and can usually find them at your local electronic store. Read More...
