For Whirlpool Dryer Igniter Kit (Part Number: OEM9282423)

Bob, Check or replace the motor W10410999 / W10410999. The faint smoke and odor and the continuous buzzing in the panel would most likely be due to a weak or faulty motor winding. The buzzer is the path of least resistance in the motor circuit, and would sound if the motor windings can't " carry" the load. You may also want to consider a new blower wheel Y303836 / Y303836 , just in case.

Mike for Model Number KGYE660WWH0

I'm checking the continuity of the gas ignitor. I'm confused on what the reading should be. I'm getting a reading of 36 ohms when testing at the 2 prong plug. Your video indicates the reading should be between 50-400. I also read in the question answers that the reading should be 36 ohms. Can you tell me if the ignitor is okay based on the 36 ohm reading? The dryer runs but doesn't heat. I've tested the thermal fuse, the coils and now the ignitor. What's next? Thank you.

Todd, The unit not stopping would most likely be caused by a bad timer on the unit.
