1 Answer Hello Norma, you can measure from end to end to get the diameter of your element. This should be close to the measurement of the unit, however if your unit only has 2 sizes. The smaller of the 2 would be a 6" element and the bigger would be the 8" element. Thanks! Read More...
James R March 02, 2018 for Model Number whirlpool electric range RF365PXGN0 As shown on your website, take a look at the close-up views of the looped terminal ends on both the 6" and 8" replacement burner elements. There is a small, steel bracket which keeps the terminal ends separated and in place. On the 6" element (part # WP660532), the weld is broken loose on the bracket which allows one element terminal to move about. On the 8" element (part # WP660533), the weld is intact. I have found this to be the case on the old 6" elements I'm replacing, and the new replacements as well. I would venture to say that this broken weld is a Whirlpool manufacturing defect, and the nationwide supply of these 6" elements would no doubt evidence the same broken weld. My questions: Have you noticed this in your own inventory? And do you believe it presents any problem to use them regardless of the weld issue?
1 Answer James, With this issue, we are not showing any information on the weld breaking on the part. Read More...
1 Answer Hello Chris. You will need to test the P terminal of the switches and see which one is sending power to the light in the off position. Replace that switch on the unit. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter. http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/oven-repair-including-ranges-cooktops/4810-how-check-continuity-ohmmeter.html Read More...

1 Answer Hello Jeff. You will need to check the wiring on the element and make sure it is wired correctly. Also, make sure the switch on the unit is good. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Wendy June 24, 2017 I need to replace the large burners on a stove in my rental unit but cannot locate the Whirlpool model of the electric range. The two connectors are red and white and slightly slanted upward.
1 Answer Hello Wendy, The model number should be on the units' I.D. tag, normally behind the drawer front on the units' frame. I'm sorry but this is necessary information for us to locate parts that we can guarantee will fit and operate properly on your unit. Thank you for your patience and understanding in this matter. Jun November 26, 2016 for Model Number Whirlpool electric stove The 2 large surface elements(8") on my whirlpool electric stove always heated so high that the temperature could not be controlled by the switches. It may be in low setting and would jump up to a high. I remember about a convection oven that would do that. Was mine a convection electric stove. Thanks for you reply.
1 Answer Jun, Without a model number we can't tell if you had a "convection" oven range or not. The "convection" portion of the controls pertain to the oven, not the cooktop burner elements. Sounds more like you may have had a faulty infinite control switch for the burner(s), or you were setting the controls incorrectly. Read More...

Sue March 30, 2016 for Model Number RF4700xWW0 The large right front burner over heats no matter what temperature setting is chosen. Do I need only the coil element or is another part necessary? Thank you.
1 Answer Sue, The coil element isn't the problem, they either work or don't work. The temperature or heat setting is controlled through the infinite switch W10900107 / 4391989, Replace the switch and you should be fine. The part is in stock and available at this time. Thanks, Read More...
