Ajit March 08, 2012 for Model Number Maytag MER6750AAC P/N AP4009116. How do I install it? Is it hard to open glass top? Do you have any picture to show me, how to open and install? Thanks
1 Answer Hi Ajit. Remove power. Open door and lock the hinges. Remove the door. Look under the front corners and remove the 2-1/4" screws to lift the top. Support the top so it is safe. Note all wires and use a magnifying glass to see all terminals. Use a black felt marker to scribe the burner mount screws so you use the correct stamped burner mount screws upon reassembly. The new burner needs to be centered correctly. Burner part # W10823709. Thank You. Read More...
Joseph L. October 05, 2011 for Model Number merg772bab I have been told by another supplier that the correct part from the manufacturer is not AP4009116. Is this correct? Are you not selling the same part for this range? wpl12002144 on new element two connections are welded together. On the old one they had electrical clip ons. Do I need a new element? New element is not the same as old one I want to replace and underneath the old element there is insulated divider from small element to large element that will not fit under new element . . please advise. Asked by Mike for Model mer5775aab Mike, You did order and receive the correct part number AP4009116. There have been several updates to the elements on several brands. As you noted, there is no wire from the sensor assembly to the element. There is now a permanently fixed umper tab. The heat resistant insulation ring between the outer and inner element has also been removed. Engineers determined, it was an unnecessary component. You should be able to replace the element, and install the wiring location for location(wiring is the same as the old). Your only concern would be to make sure the wires for the 1A and 1B terminals on the sensor device of the old element. Are on the same terminals on the new element, your hot surface light will not work properly if they are not. Thanks for your inquiry. 1 Answer Hello Joseph. No, W10823709 is the correct element. The part numbers we supply are our internal part numbers. Other companies have the manufacture part numbers. If you have the manufacture part number, we can cross reference the part number to our part number. Hope this helps. Read More...
