Frank December 23, 2015 for Model Number 11020022011 Clothes are wrapping around agitator during wash cycle.

Johnny U. September 27, 2015 for Model Number WTW4850XQ1 My washer is making a growling noise when it spins. I think it is the bearing, however I think i have to buy the whole gearcase. is there any way to purchase just the bearing and what model number is it?
1 Answer Hello Johnny, If the spin bearing is the issue the sound will be a loud roar that is similar to a freight train. Verify the belt is intact and not contacting anything and nothing is between the tubs. Note that the bearings have not been made available without the gearcase assembly W11454741. Read More...
John Smith August 29, 2015 for Model Number WTW4800XQ2 My washer started making a loud grinding noise when it was agitating and only a clicking noise a it began to spin untill got up to speed then it was quite. It washed ok for a while now it only adds water as it did at frist but nothing else I think the gearcase is at fault. What do you think.
1 Answer John, The gear case is a possibility, but the more likely issue is a worn Can/splotch assembly W10721967 or the shift actuator WPW10006355 has failed and was partially engaging the drive system causing the clicking noise. Read More...
Mario August 23, 2015 for Model Number 1CWTW4840YW0 My machine makes a raucous and flies off the springs, basically unusable. I feel its the bearing on the Gearcase, but sadly i'd have to buy the whole thing. So I want to be sure.
1 Answer Mario, You will want to check the inner tub to see if it is shifting inside the outer tub, not going in circles but rocking back and forth. If it is then make sure that the bolts that hold the tub are not loose and if they check ok then check the balance ring on the outer tub to make sure that it is not damaged and still has liquid in it. If all this checks ok then the gearcase would be the issue. Read More...

Eldon March 31, 2014 for Model Number WTW4800XQ1 My washer is making a growling noise when it changes to drain & spin cycles and it spins at only about 25% speed. Can you tell me what is wrong?
1 Answer Hello Eldon. You need to lean the washer back and check the large pulley under the bottom of the unit. Most likely the nut has came off and the pulley has dropped down on the unit. If so, use some Loctite on the nut and secure the pulley into place on the unit. Read More...
John February 09, 2014 for Model Number WTW4910XQ0 My washing machine is making a rhythmic clicking noise when it spins. I have removed the inner drum, agitator, and splutch assembly, and when I rotate the spindle by hand, it still makes the clicking noise. Does this mean the transmission is going out? The washer is only 4 years old, and still functions perfectly, other than the clicking noise.
