The ice maker itself works fine, but the hatch is not closing all the way, which builds up frost and doesn't allow ice to come out of the chute. The repair man says the plastic hinge is broken and it cannot be fixed without replacing the entire door. Is this accurate?

Hkcamon July 20, 2012 for Model Number KSSS42QDX03 Recently I've found a small puddle of water on the overflow grille every couple hours. I've tried to clean up the edge of the chute door to make sure it could be fully closed. This doesn't work. I do notice some rusts around the ice chute assembly. The chute door does close on its own and seems to be operating. Thus I think the delay motor is OK. Is it the right part to replace?
