This ice container assembly stores ice in the freezer and interfaces with the dispenser to deliver cubed or crushed ice. Replacing a cracked or worn bin restores smooth, consistent ice dispensing performance.

  • Holds harvested ice and mounts in the freezer or door for easy access
  • Interfaces with the dispenser drive to move ice through the chute
  • Supports cubed/crushed dispensing when equipped
  • Common symptoms of failure: no ice dispensing, ice only crushes or won't crush, visible cracks or broken/stripped drive engagement
What's included: 1 ice container assembly Install notes:
  • Disconnect power to the refrigerator before servicing
  • Remove the existing bin; empty any remaining ice and clear the chute
  • Align the new container with the drive coupler and rails; slide in until fully seated
  • Restore power and test ice dispensing (cubed/crushed if equipped)

Hello Biggike, The service manual states to remove the Ice Bin Assembly by depressing the push button on the side of the ice bin cover and slide the bin out of the ice box compartment. Reverse the procedure to re-assemble.

Hello Michelle! The ice auger is metal. It could tend to rust over a long period of time. There are also blades in the ice bin WPW10324090 that chop the ice for cube ice that could rust over time as well. Hope this answers your questions, Thanks.
