Lynn February 12, 2018 for Model Number DVD0F9A6EVW/A2 I NEED TO REPLACE THE IDLER PULLEY ON MY DRYER. CAN YOU TELL ME WHAT PART # I NEED?
1 Answer Hello Lynn. The model number will have to be verified on the units I.D. tag since the one listed came up invalid. This will be necessary to look up and specific parts such as the one you requested. Thank you for your patience and understanding in this matter. We will need your model number to help you with this. Please call 1-877-477-7278 or post your model number with a new question on the parts page. http://www.appliancepartspros.com/modelnumber_locator.aspx Read More...

Marty September 16, 2016 for Model Number Duet GEW9250PW1 I'm replacing the idler pulley for the drive belt. Do I need to apply lubrication between the shaft and metal hub in the pulley? Looks like it might have lube integrated with the metal. It's being replaced due to squealing noise. Thanks, Marty
2 Answers Hello Marty, Only a dry lubricant such as baby powder or corn starch can be used in a dryer since lint will stick to a wet lubricant and be pulled into the lubricated bearing and cause more wear than no lubricant. These are normally assembled dry. Read More...

Anniem February 17, 2016 for Model Number WED9151YW0 Even though this idler pulley roller is the right one to use for my Whirlpool Duet dryer, I can not get it to go on. The old roller slides right on but the new one seams to be too small. I took it back to the appliance store and they said that it's the right one. What should I do? Thanks
1 Answer Hello Anniem, I would try replacing the idler bracket and pulley as an assembly W10837240. Read More...
Colt February 06, 2016 for Model Number Kenmore 110.C87567701 Hello, according to the Sears Parts Center, this model of Kenmore dryer is made by Whirlpool (Kenmore 110.C87567701). To replace the pulley (due to loud squealing noise), they identified Part #279640. I received the replacement pulley, but it's slightly different than the one I removed from the dryer. The older one is slightly thicker, but smaller in diameter. The new pulley has a ridge on both sides. I double checked the part number and it is correct. Is it safe to use the new pulley? Thanks in advance!
1 Answer Colt, Yes you can use the new pulley and it was just redesigned by the manufacturer but will still work for your unit. Read More...
Kurt July 14, 2015 for Model Number Kenmore 700 series electric dryer I have replaced the plastic idler pulley in my dryer two times. And now for a third time, the belt has worn right through the plastic of the idler pulley again. I don't understand why it is doing that. The last time I replaced it, I also replaced the other rollers as well as the belt. I wish I could get a metal pulley but there doesn't seem to be one available. Do you have any idea why the belt eats through the plastic pulley after only 10 months?
1 Answer Hello Kurt. Something has to be causing the pulley to drag or the belt is not being installed properly. Make sure the unit is venting good and not filling with lint also. Try replacing the post the pulley rides on and see if it is causing the pulley to drag. Read More...
