Brian December 10, 2014 for Model Number Maytag A710 Somewhere in my injector water is leaking out. Buying all of the individual parts such as 213013 and 206154 are more than twice the cost of the kit referenced in the description of 213013. The kit referenced is 206680. So I want to know if this kit will work in my A710. The compatibility says no. Can you verify for me if it should work?
1 Answer Hello Brian. Yes, it looks like the kit WP206680 will work with your model number. Read More...
Eleanor W. February 18, 2014 for Model Number Maytag Washer A610 Will this part fit a Maytag washer A610?
Jeff April 14, 2013 for Model Number Maytag A412 I have a Maytag A412 and just replaced a leaking injector hose with a new 206680. The new parts plastic rectangular piece is SHOOTING water out of it when I turn the washer on to fill. All fittings are tight. Thanks for any help. Jeff
1 Answer Hello Jeff, This sounds like the injector valve WP216201 isn't installed properly. It is usually the part that causes the issue so I hope you have replaced it. You can check it by pulling it out and looking at it. It should be straight and not "soggy" feeling. Read More...
1 Answer Hello Rick. The injector hose kit is part number WP206680 and the cover 206380 which the injector hose kit would mount to has been discontinued and is no longer available. Read More...
Bob B August 03, 2012 for Model Number A112 I have a Maytag A112 top loading washer, serial 458895. There is no series shown on the tag, it looks like there was never anything stamped there (in the Ser box). There is water leaking from the plastic vented injector assembly. It starts leaking as soon as I open the spigot on the wall. Will part AP4023882 fix the leak or do you think I have another problem? The picture of that part looks like what is on my machine. Thank You!
1 Answer Hello Bob, The water valve 205613 is bad or it wouldn't leak as soon as you turn the water on. The injector WP206680 shouldn't leak at all so the injector is bad also. Read More...
Daisy E. July 18, 2012 for Model Number Maytag washing machine A712 Will the injector kit AP4023882 work to replace the old leaky injector kit in my machine?
1 Answer Hello Daisy, This WP206680 will work perfectly. There are other parts that you can order that require more assembly, but I'm afraid, given the age of the appliance, that the grommet that fits into the tub cover will separate and cause you to have to order again to get fixed. That would not only cost you more down time but also another shipping fee. Read More...
1 Answer Hello Nick, The part you are looking at is a redundant part installed by Maytag which was originally referred to the technicians as the part required by the EPA to prevent the water in the tub from being re-introduced to the fresh water supply. Now the issue with this that all technicians mentioned and argued about was that the water would have to levitate back up to the inlet flume and would also have to go against water pressure and the closed water inlet valve to even get to the fresh water supply. There is absolutely no problem with bypassing this as long as you do not eliminate the "S" turn in the hose. This is necessary to allow the tub to move around during an out-of-balance load without damaging the inlet line and flooding the home. Read More...
Timothy K January 12, 2012 for Model Number Maytag A810 When I start the wash cycle water is leaking out of the the plastic piece in the center of the injector hose kit. in the area of the injector & Injector valve Water then leeks down and out the left front bottom. Should I replace The Injector Hose Kit (Part Number: AP4023882) or just the injector and valve, And what is the best way to get access to the Injector Hose Kit. Does the top open if so how or is the front the best way to get to it to replace (does the front panel just pop of or is there a special way and screws?)Thank You in advance this is my Mothers washer and she is 84 an on a limited income so I would like to repair, I'm an ASE Automotive Tech. Sincerely Tim Kachik
1 Answer Timothy, Repalcing the injector valve and nozzle, WP213015 and WP216201 will be sufficient. Just remember to clean out any deposits that may have built up on the inside of the housing. Yes, you will need to raise the top of the washer to access the injector assembly. Unplug the power cord and slide the washer out a few inches. Remove the two phillips head screws(one on each side) approximately 3 inches up from the bottom of the front panel, grasp the bottom sides and pull out towards you, until the panel clips disengage the top panel and set the panel aside. In the top front corners of the cabinet interior, there will be two 3/8 in. hex head screws(facing up) one on each side, remove the two screws and raise the top of the washer. You only need to disconnect the hose closest to you(front) and perform the replacement of the two parts. Thanks and Good Luck Read More...
Mike S. November 28, 2011 for Model Number LA506 I purchased a new injector hose kit from you. After I installed it, it leaked very much as soon as I turned on the washer to fill up the tub. I installed it exactly as the defective one was from the water valve to the tub filler on top. How do I get this to work properly?
1 Answer Hello Mike. Check and make sure the injector kit WP206680 is sealing good to the tub assembly and the water valve. If not, it will cause the unit to leak. Also, make sure there are no cracks around whrere it seals to the tub assembly. Hope this helps. Read More...
