Martin, During normal operation of the range, the igniter will cycle of and on based on the whether the thermostat or sensor is satisfied. When the oven gets to the proper temperature the igniter will cycle off. When the unit get down to a certain point the igniter will then turn back on in order to light the burner to satisfy the thermostat again.

Hello Lily! Using the KIP5C71 and 7733P33 numbers given we have located a model that uses this knob. It is part number WP74011287. However, to verify if this knob will indeed work on your unit we'll need the appliance model number. Thanks.

Hello Van, You will want to check the switches. With power off to unit, check each switch WP74007806 for continuity. If you find any of the switches closed then you would need to replace the switch. If the switches check good, check wiring from switches to the spark module for damaged wires. If this checks ok then you would need a new spark module [74004282].
