Hello Marisa. I would say about a 4. These are not hard to do. Disconnect the power. Open the door and remove the screws. Lift inner door panel. Now you can access and replace the latch assembly WPW10130695.

Gobe, The door handle for your unit is part number WP99002837 and you may want to check the switches on the latch to make sure that they are good and check to make sure that the latch is not broken. The latch part number is WP99002292.

Ted, To open the door you will need to try to grab the upper corners of the dishwasher door and lift and pull. This should allow you to open the door.

Hello Niall, Both will work but (AP4481280) is the latch assembly only without the handle. (AP4264081) is the same latch assembly but it includes the handle already assembled on it.

Bill, We'd recommend you use the WPW10130695 for ease of installation, you won't have to install the handle on the latch, it can be frustrating. Yes you will need to remove all the perimeter screws along the inside of the inner door liner, you'll probably need a "torx" tips tool to remove the screws, and separate the liner from the outer door panel. Make sure you turn power to the dishwasher OFF before you start any repairs.

Hello Tom. Lift upward on the door where the handle is located and jerk hard to open it. You can break something doing this, but it is the only way to open and replace the latch assembly WPW10130695.
