Eric May 26, 2014 for Model Number KUDS30IXWH1 I have a white dishwasher. Oddly, none of the door handles/latches/etc have a picture, so I can't see the color. What are the colors of each of these parts? AP4588470, AP4588471, AP5306818, AP5805371?
1 Answer Hello Eric! Door handle part number WPW10195718 is black, WPW10195833 is white, W10195834 is bisque, and WPW10195835 is gray. Part number W10619006 is the door latch and is black and white, however, it can not be seen from the outside of the dishwasher. Thanks. Read More...
Jennifer December 10, 2013 for Model Number WDT710PAYM3 What is the part number for the little black piece that latches the door closed? Not the entire latch system just the little piece with the prongs that hooks the door closed?
John September 12, 2013 for Model Number W10431031A part W10380252 Does this latch come with the little black plastic piece that attaches to the main body and inserts into the latch? It broke off a few weeks after we got it and then the latch piece broke as we tried to use what ever we could find to hold it together to run a load.
1 Answer Hello John, The door latch W10619006 does not come with the door catch. It will have to be looked up by the model number and ordered seperately. Read More...
Scott April 19, 2013 for Model Number Kitchenaid kuds30ixblo Dishwasher will not run unless you push on the door. Latch does not seem to keep door closed enough to allow it to operate.
1 Answer Scott, You will want to check the latch on the dishwasher and adjust it as necessary. If you pull the unit out a little from installation you should be able to adjust the latch forward or back. Make an adjustment and see if this corrects the issue. If not then you would need to replace the lock assembly in the door. Read More...
Erika Z June 12, 2012 for Model Number Wdf530psyw2 I ordered this dishwasher online. When it arrived it had a black plastic latch holding the door closed. To open it I have to manually squeeze it together through the hole in the casing. It seems like that would be impossible to do once I install it under a counter. Is this the real door latch or is it something just used for shipping??? There doesn't seem to be a movable or squeezable dirt handle anywhere so I am concerned!!!
1 Answer Hello Erika. Can you send us a picture of the latch so we can see what you are referring to? There is nothing from the manufacture that says there is something there that will need to be removed. Thank you. Read More...
