Lora P July 14, 2014 for Model Number ADB1200AWW I have an Amana Dishwasher and I need the whole door latch assembly with handle. It is white. When I search the part number I get is W10130697 but when I chatted online with someone they gave me part number W10130694. What is the difference in those two parts ? Which one is the correct one ? I need to order this today so I can get it replaced. Thank You Lora Pennington
Srini May 04, 2014 for Model Number CDB1500AWW I have magic chef dishwasher and the door latch was broken. To fix this placed order 4334737 and followed the steps below. 1. Unplug dishwasher and sink erator plug 2. Replaced dishwasher latch 3. Plug back dishwasher and sink erator plug After this step, the sink erator motor started running and does not turn off. Normally we can turn this off with a switch but in this case the motor keeps running. For now, I have unplugged sink erator plug and not sure what's wrong with the latch replaced.
1 Answer Srini, The dishwasher latch replacement would not have any effect on the garbage disposer. The only way that the motor on the disposer can operate all the time is if the plug it Is connected to has power all the time. You will want to check the plug that it is connected to and if the plug for the dishwasher is close to the plug for the disposer then make sure that they are plugged into the correct outlet. Dishwashergirl April 26, 2014 for Model Number ADB1500AWW Trying to replace latch assembly in Amana DW, part W10130697. Successfully inside the front panel, but can't figure out how to disconnect the old cables. Have pulled, twisted and tried everything.
1 Answer Dishwashergirl, To remove the connectors on the switches, you will want to use a pair of needle nose pliers and get on the metal terminal of the switch and rotate the pliers to put pressure on the switch to get it to pop off. Read More...

Brian January 05, 2014 for Model Number Mdbtt60awb3 My dishwasher model # is MDBtt60awb3 and your reference chart shows that the latch assembly I need to replace is W10275768. And in the description there is no handle and i need the handle so the description then says for the black handle order part W10130698. Which i did. I have recieved part and installed. It will not completely latch and lock. What is the problem?
1 Answer Brian, There are a couple of other things to check, first make sure the dishwasher is installed and secured to the cabinet properly, the dishwasher is level in both directions, and the door is aligned to the tub opening. Check the door strike WPW10119337 and make sure it's not loose or out of alignment to the door liner and catch. Check the tub /door seal make sure it's properly seated in the channel around the opening, and check to make sure the door isn't bowed out at the top, and the hinges aren't damaged. Read More...
