Laura, The W10862259 Dishwasher Door Latch Assembly Will work and fit in your dishwasher. This part number is a "complete" latch assembly(includes door handle). The WPW10275768 is the latch assembly only (no handle). The manufacturer should be "substituting" the latch assembly to the latch kit part shortly .

Larry, To replace the door latch assembly W10862259 there are no seals that you have to replace. You would remove the screws from around the perimeter of the inner door and lift the inner door. There will be a screw holding the latch assembly in place that you would remove and then pull the latch assembly out. Make sure that power is off to the unit when doing this. Remove the wires from the assembly and attach to new latch and put in place and put screw back in and liner back on.

Hayden, If you grab either side of door at the top near the control panel and give the door a good jerk, the latch should release and door should open.

Hello Olive. If you pull upward on the handle and it does not release, you wil need to pull upward and jerk to open the door. Then order and replace the handle and latch assembly on the unit.

Hello Pat, This sounds more like the unit is need of being properly leveled. When the unit is level the corners shouldn't catch on anything and the door should open smoothly.
